Izizwe Projects Izizwe Projects is a registered non profit (NPC) working for and with the community of Walmer Townshi

Izizwe Projects was founded in 2009 by Prof Mtyaleka and Martijn van der Put after seeing the need in Walmer Township for services being freely available to all that need it. Where other organizations only focus on selected groups of people they want to help we believe that all have the right to access community services. That's where Izizwe stepped in; providing programs and projects focused on e

ducation and sports for all the children. Izizwe, meaning 'nations', strives to built this nation with the help of local as well as international volunteers. We want to give you the opportunity to help out as well and be part of our nation building, how small it even is. Some of the activities in which you as a volunteer can be active are:

- Helping in the creches and daycare centers
- Computer classes in the primary school
- Afterschool sports, homework and dancing classes
- Adult education

We hope that we can keep on growing with the help of volunteers and the input of locals and would like to invite you to join us and the wonderful people of Walmer Township!
