Isithembiso Babies Home

Isithembiso Babies Home Isithembiso exists so that hope can exist for abandoned or orphaned babies.

We provide a stable environment for young lives that have had a difficult start, and our aim is always to see them placed in loving, secure families.

Recently, we were blessed to receive delicious vegetable donations, baby clothes & essentials from the Umzi Wase Tiyopiya Sunday School! ☺️This was initiated through one of our previous volunteers, Linda, who has continued to carry our babies in her heart for many years. Linda approached her church on our behalf to consider adopting us as part of their way of impacting the lives of vulnerable babies in the community. Not only did they collect these wonderful donations for us, but they have also committed to a monthly financial donation!

Thank you, Linda, for catching the heart of God for our homes and continuing to advocate for us in your sphere of influence!❤️

Meet Andrew, our Trustee and Treasurer! 🙌

After years in England, Andrew and his wife Lizzy felt a calling to return home to South Africa with a mission to help orphans. They began as volunteers at Isithembiso, eventually growing their family by adopting their youngest son from our home.

Andrew’s heart for restoration and his dedication to seeing more children find forever families make him an invaluable part of our team. We are so grateful for his leadership and passion for our Gqeberha community!

We’re thrilled to introduce Thuli, a dedicated caregiver who turns 50 this year! A devoted single mother and a pillar for her extended family, Thuli brings a lifetime of love to our home.

Thuli chose caregiving because she loves helping people, often putting others before herself. While she notes that working with toddlers requires great patience and mental strength, she finds her greatest joy in their milestones - from first smiles to first steps.

"It really melts my heart... I really love what I’m doing." — Thuli

We are so grateful for Thuli’s kindness and hard work!
