📢 VOLUNTEER INDUSTRIAL SEWING TRAINER NEEDED 🧵🪡
6-Month Women’s Skills Development & Economic Empowerment Programme
KAYBEZ Skills Development Foundation (KSDF) NPO is looking for a dedicated and experienced Industrial Sewing Trainer to volunteer their time and skills in our upcoming 6-month Skills Development Programme for Women aged 30–40.
This programme is part of our commitment to women’s economic empowerment, GBV prevention, and survivor support, by creating opportunities for women to develop practical skills that can contribute to their independence, income generation and long-term resilience.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about skills development and empowering women, and who has practical experience working with industrial sewing machines.
🧵 The Volunteer Trainer will support women in:
• Industrial machine operation
• Industrial sewing techniques
• Upholstery and car-seat-cover production
• Machine safety and responsible use
• Basic machine troubleshooting
• Sewing quality control and finishing
• Learner assessment and practical guidance
• Production supervision
• Basic machine care and maintenance reporting
• Developing learners’ confidence and readiness for income-generating opportunities
👩🏽🏭 Who are we looking for?
We would particularly welcome someone who:
✅ Has practical experience using industrial sewing machines
✅ Has experience in upholstery, automotive upholstery or garment production
✅ Has the ability to teach and mentor beginners
✅ Is patient, committed and passionate about empowering women
✅ Can work responsibly with specialised industrial equipment
✅ Understands the importance of creating safe and supportive learning spaces
✅ Has a passion for community development and social impact
Teaching or facilitation experience will be an advantage.
