‎NOTHING ABOUT US WITHOUT US!!

‎To the Nation:

‎Aboriginal, Indigenous, Nama, Griqua, Koerana, Cape Khoi, San, and all First Peoples of South Africa

‎We must ask ourselves with deep reflection: How can we truly celebrate Freedom Day when we are still not free?

‎April 27, 2025 marks not only the 30th anniversary of what was called "Freedom," but also the continuation of the "Great Repression" — a grave injustice against the Indigenous peoples of South Africa.

‎Thirty years later, the Indigenous People of Colour remain systematically excluded from meaningful political participation, governance, and decision-making processes in this country.

‎Our voices are still marginalized. Our rights are still ignored.

‎We cannot and will not celebrate "freedom" until we have secured official recognition as "The First Nation" of South Africa — nothing less, nothing more.

‎True freedom will only come when we, the rightful heirs of this land, are acknowledged in law, policy, and governance, with full rights, dignity, and autonomy.

‎Let us move forward united, determined, and uncompromising.

We are very saddened to learn of the passing of President Comrade Sam Nujoma and to the Republic of Namibia and to SWAPO on their first democratic president.

He served from March 21, 1990, to March 21, 2005. Nujoma was a key figure in Namibia’s struggle for independence from apartheid South African rule and was the leader of the South West Africa People’s Organization (SWAPO).

Our deepest sympathies go out to the family of Sam Nujoma. May God give you the comfort and peace that you seek during this difficult time and may the soul of your loved one rest in peace.

As the rightful custodians of the land of Southern Africa, we reject the false and misleading narrative pushed by former U.S. President Donald Trump and his allies regarding South Africa’s land policies. Our people, the First Nations of this land, have lived here for thousands of years—long before the arrival of European settlers. The land does not belong to those who came here by force, nor to those who benefited from centuries of colonial theft and apartheid. It belongs to its indigenous peoples and rightful African heirs.

Trump’s statement is not only an insult to our sovereignty but also a direct attack on our efforts to correct historical injustices. The claim that land reform in South Africa “blatantly discriminates” against white farmers is nothing more than a distortion of facts. Land dispossession was a fundamental pillar of apartheid, and restoring land to its rightful owners is a matter of justice, not discrimination.

Furthermore, the claim that white farmers are being targeted in mass killings is a deliberate lie, fueled by right-wing propaganda to undermine South Africa’s sovereignty. Crime is a reality that affects all South Africans, regardless of race. The attempt to label white South Africans as victims while ignoring the long-standing suffering of indigenous and black communities is an insult to truth and history.

We also take note of Elon Musk’s reckless and divisive remarks. As someone who benefited from apartheid-era privileges, he has no moral authority to comment on South Africa’s affairs. His claims are not only factually incorrect but also dangerous, as they seek to inflame racial tensions for political and economic gain.

South Africa will continue its journey towards justice and economic liberation without interference from external forces who wish to maintain systems of inequality. The land must return to those from whom it was taken. That is not racism; that is restitution.

📜 Paying Tribute to the Late Queen of the South 🕊️🌿🏹🤎⚰️

On behalf of the Nama Royal House RSA EC, HRH Queen Rebecca Josephine & HRH King Aldridge Como and the National Council, we extend our deepest condolences and highest honor to the late Queen Khoisan S.A., the Queen of the South.

For seven years, she and her husband, King KhoiSan S.A., put aside personal ambitions to champion the National Discourse of the First Indigenous, Aboriginal Nation of this land. Despite relentless opposition from the government, intimidation by SAPS, and criticism from certain cultural leaders, they remained steadfast in their mission.

She stood unshaken. She overcame systemic oppression, braved the elements in a makeshift shelter, and remained unwavering in her commitment to justice. While many would have sought personal comfort, she chose to stand beside her husband, fully devoted to the vision of reclaiming dignity and recognition for the First Nation People.

Her unwavering loyalty, courage, and sacrifice must never be forgotten. Her legacy must live on in our hearts and our actions.

Now is the time for us to set aside our differences, unite under a shared purpose, and turn this tragedy into a triumph for our people. Let her passing be a call to action—a reminder that our strength lies in our unity.

Rest softly, Queen Khoisan S.A., Queen of the South. Your spirit will forever guide us.

President Cyril Ramaphosa said that the state was working towards the inclusion of the Khoi, San and Nama languages into the school curriculum.

Ramaphosa made the comment while delivering his address at the Reconciliation Day commemoration in Vredendal in the Western Cape on Monday.

The president explained that the adoption of the Traditional Khoi-San Leadership Act had given formal recognition to people who were once previously disadvantaged

Ramaphosa also highlighted the advancement of the Khoisan language in the country.

"This gave formal recognition to Khoisan institutions of traditional leadership and with the support of the Pan South African Language Board, we have worked to make sure that Khoi, San, Nama languages are offered as part of the school curriculum."
