Ikhala Trust

Ikhala Trust Please note Ikhala Trust no longer exists as it has dissolved as a NPO at the end of July 2025. "Ikhala" is the isiXhosa word for "aloe."

Permanently closed.

Ikhala Trust supports confident, vibrant organisations in the Eastern Cape, able to envision and catalyze positive change in their communities. Aloes thrive in adverse conditions, much as the organisations supported by Ikhala Trust does.

Ripples of Kindness

The world feels so heavy
with pain, uncertainty,
and division right now.

More than ever,
it needs love,
gentleness,
and healing.

We may not be able
to solve everything at once,
but we can choose kindness
in the spaces
where our lives touch others.

A smile,
a listening ear,
a patient word,
a helping hand,

these small acts of care
ripple outward
in ways we may never fully see.

If each of us tends
to our own little corner
of the world
with compassion,

those corners begin to connect,
and slowly
the light of kindness spreads.

One by one,
heart by heart,
we can help heal the world.
