About Project XXI
Project XXI is a dynamic and forward-thinking organization dedicated to promoting literacy and empowering youth in South Africa. Founded in December 2022, our mission is to bridge educational gaps by fostering a love for reading and providing access to essential learning resources. Our initiatives include setting up school libraries, establishing book clubs, and conducting book
drives to ensure that every child has the opportunity to explore the world through books. We believe in the power of community engagement and work closely with learners to ensure their voices and needs are at the forefront of our efforts. donors with South African youth, providing books that inspire, educate, and empower. Guided by our mission, "Nothing about them without them," we strive to create a lasting impact by placing the youth at the heart of our endeavors. Our founder, Vuyokazi Jamieson, is currently pursuing her PhD, focusing on the impact of Project XXI school libraries in promoting literacy in South Africa. Project XXI is based in South Africa, but Vuyokazi resides in the United States for her studies, further strengthening our international collaborations and outreach.
