POWER OUTAGE UPDATE – TEMBANI SUBSTATION

Tuesday, 6 October 2026

The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality’s Electricity and Energy Directorate advises residents of an unplanned power outage following the tripping of the Butterfield 6.6kV circuit breaker at Tembani Substation.

📍 AFFECTED AREAS:
• Tembani Butterfield
• Greenbushes/Draaifontein
• Greenbushes Little Chelsea overhead lines
• Surrounding areas

Municipal technical teams are attending to the fault and working to restore electricity supply. Further updates will be communicated as more information becomes available.

The Municipality apologises for the inconvenience caused and thanks affected residents for their patience and understanding.
