Autism Matters RSA, in partnership with Disabled People South Africa (DPSA), DiCAG, and Included Early Intervention, would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank everyone who came out to support our march to Parliament in Cape Town.

Your presence, commitment, and unity made this initiative impactful and meaningful. We will continue to keep you informed on the outcomes of this march through the groups that were created during the planning stages.

Members of the Executive Committee of this initiative will provide further feedback following our scheduled meetings in mid-April with the offices of the Ministers who received our memorandum.

We kindly urge Civil society in Cape town going forward, to share information more widely with their beneficiaries.

We have received feedback from many individuals who expressed that they wished to be part of this march but were unaware. We believe strongly in collaboration and inclusive communication.

Organising this march had its challenges, but we are proud of what was achieved. We have also learned valuable lessons that will strengthen future initiatives. The most important thing is to learn from our mistakes.

We hope everyone returned home safely.

This is not the end , it is only the beginning. Let us continue the important work we are doing in our respective provinces and remain united in advocating for change.

Happy Autism Month.
