The NPO does not only assist with an outfit and hair and make-up...We assist with the whole matric dance, from planning and deciding on a colours scheme, Food and venue set up, transport and programmes...
We are very hands on to ensure that the momentous, unforgettable event of the matric year is a success... To make a success of your life in the disadvantaged areas nowadays takes lots of courage...The zeal and determination of the ones, who overcome the many obstacles just to finish matric, is on another level and needs to be celebrated...

4 months ago I received a Notice from the Sheriff that my house going on Auction because of arrears.Let me tell you, most of my friends and family distanced themselves from my embarrassing situation.Help came from strangers, friends and family that I never even imagined would be able or want to assist when I pleaded for R100 assistance towards my bond.It only recent that I heard of voicenotes and meetings that took place to assist me 😭😭😭
I am forever grateful and blessed.

While I was going through this very painfull stage of my life, I could not lie down or stuck my head in the sand because there are girls out there who, despite their circumstances wants to succeed in life...our NGO ukuLungisa (which means to be prepared) strives to be a beacon of hope by assisting girls with the full Matric Farewell package. From the outfit, to hair, make up and nails, to decorations, Food and transport...We assist through sponsorships...

Truth is, underprivileged girls also deserves to be a Cinderella once in their lifetime. They are not their circumstances, they can rise above it.

In the words of Ann Voscamp "If you're waiting on God do what waiters do, serve"

So while I am waiting on God to sort out my challenges, I am serving our young underprivileged, our future women leaders.

Women Empowerment, 1 girl at a time...

This year 2023, the NGO is assisting 2 girls (1 from Otto Du Plessis School and 1 from Arcadia High School) with their matric farewell

To God be the Glory... This post is not to shame anybody but its all about showing the Greatness of God and the zeal of a young lady who is determined to make a success of her life. This is also to brag about my homies from QTN / Komani who at the 11th hour and after just one message / phonecall jumped on the wagon to make this girl's matric farewell a huge success. I mentioned to somebody that God does not have hands and feet therefore He uses people. Noxolo Woodroffe thank you my baby for entrusting me ... Susan Wyngaard Claudia Everitt Berene Fritz Jerome Jasson and many others from Komani you guys have makes me superproud to be a Queenstownian... Thank you for giving back to the youth of our Komani soil... May God richly Bless you in all your endeavours.. Delmarie Prince you are Blessed with the best... Who you are, what you believe in and how you treat others opened all this Blessings that was bestowed on your daughter Shameira...

When I planned my 50th Birthday, my dream was to have 50 women together and go on a road trip, I changed plans and wanted a fancy Gatsby theme event. But I realized that God's Grace kept me not for myself but to make a difference in young women's lives..through the Youth Development NGO (ukuLungisa) of me and my children, Daylinne Ambraal and Amber Muthoo. Rochelle Cayla Jonkers from Otto Du Plessis stood out for us this year and the NGO decided to step in to assist with her matric farewell. This child has got determination and zeal to make a success of her life despite her situation. This matric farewell project could not have been possible without God and people that really just jumped on board. I wish to thank Theresa Bosman (Mitta), Sylvia Arries, Micheal Robinson, Mrs Rautenbach from Otto School and Linda Smith for their selfless contributions and assistance...Amber my daughter, thank you for jumping into a project without hesitation. It took us literally 5 days to get this together. God is good, hear me people, God is good.
