Day 2 | Quadruple Helix Stakeholder Engagement

As we conclude another impactful day of engagement, we would like to extend our sincere appreciation to every stakeholder who invested their time, knowledge, and expertise in today's discussions.

A heartfelt thank you to our representatives from government, academia, industry, civil society, community organisations, and development partners. Your willingness to share perspectives, challenge assumptions, and contribute towards a shared vision continues to strengthen the collaborative spirit that defines the Quadruple Helix approach.

Today's conversations reinforced an important truth: meaningful innovation begins with understanding people, their realities, and the opportunities that exist within our communities.

Throughout the day, stakeholders explored a range of critical topics shaping the future of township innovation and economic development, including:

• Evidence-based planning and the importance of reliable economic data.
• Strengthening support for township SMEs through market intelligence and feasibility insights.
• Digital inclusion, infrastructure, and access to technology.
• Community participation and creating innovation ecosystems that are accessible and inclusive.
• The role of Community Innovation Ambassadors in connecting innovation with local communities.
• Reducing economic leakage by strengthening township economies and creating opportunities closer to where people live.
• Preparing young people and future innovators to participate meaningfully in the economy of tomorrow.

One of the strongest messages that emerged was that innovation cannot happen for communities it must be created with communities. When government, academia, industry, and civil society work alongside local residents, we create solutions that are not only innovative but practical, sustainable, and capable of making a lasting impact.

We are grateful to everyone who contributed their voice to these conversations. Every question asked, every idea shared, and every perspective offered brings us one step closer to building stronger, more resilient innovation ecosystems across our townships.

Thank you for your continued commitment to collaboration, co-creation, and inclusive innovation. We look forward to continuing this journey together as we transform conversations into action and ideas into opportunities.

T3 Incubation Hub is proud to participate in the Unemployed Youth Summit hosted by the Intaba Ka Vuba Development Foundation at Babs Madlakane Hall, KwaNobuhle, under the theme "Let Us Join Forces: Empowering Youth, Shaping Futures."

As part of our commitment to bridging the gap between townships and technology, we are introducing young people to a range of emerging technologies that are shaping industries, creating opportunities, and driving innovation across South Africa and beyond.

Our exhibition features practical demonstrations and interactive engagements around:

T3 Incubation Hub proudly concludes its Risk Management Workshop following two impactful days of learning, engagement, collaboration, and business development.

The workshop brought together entrepreneurs, SMMEs, cooperatives, and business owners in a shared space dedicated to strengthening business sustainability, improving strategic awareness, and encouraging proactive approaches towards managing challenges within growing enterprises.

The ProFuture ICT program is designed to equip startups with the ICT and entrepreneurial support & resources to turn their novel innovation to a ready for market Minimum Viable Product (MVP).

This forms part of our commitment towards developing a fully functional SMART City project that was started back in 2017.
