Rise Up Against Domestic Based Violence - The Truth

Rise Up Against Domestic Based Violence - The Truth https://www.substack.com/ My name is Zenda-Lee Williams, although most people know me as Zen. Thank you for being part of this community.

Original survivor centred writing, story telling, trauma education, pattern recognition, domestic violence awareness & validation by Zenda-Lee Williams, Founder of Rise Against Domestic Violence SA and Survivor. I am the founder of Rise, and a divorce and family mediator, writer, educator, and advocate for greater understanding of human behaviour, emotional wellbeing, and personal growth. This pag

e was created to help people better understand themselves, their experiences, their relationships, and the way their minds and bodies respond to life’s challenges. Many of us spend years questioning our feelings, overthinking our reactions, or wondering why certain situations affect us so deeply. Sometimes all it takes is the right information, explained in a way that finally makes sense. I am particularly passionate about helping people understand nervous system responses, emotional patterns, communication, boundaries, resilience, and the realities of navigating difficult seasons of life. Through education, awareness, and honest conversations, my goal is to make complex topics easier to understand and more accessible to everyday people. Everything I share is grounded in a combination of professional experience, ongoing learning, and lived experience. I believe that knowledge creates clarity, clarity creates confidence, and confidence helps people make healthier decisions for themselves and their futures. This is a space for education, reflection, awareness, and growth. A place where people can learn, think differently, ask questions, and gain a deeper understanding of themselves and the world around them. Whether you are here to learn, to find answers, to better understand your own experiences, or simply because you enjoy meaningful conversations, you are welcome here. Zenda-Lee Williams

One conversation. One apology. One moment where they finally admitted what they did.

Survivors were not trapped because they were naive. They were trapped because they saw the good in people who repeatedly showed them the bad.
They gave chances.
They believed.
They loved.
They were forgiving.
Unfortunately, in the wrong hands these qualities became things to exploit.
The truth is uncomfortable.
