"We belong to you now."
With these words of sincere gratitude , Principal Betty Boom of Westernberg Secondary School accepted 26 new Epson projectors on behalf of her students during a special assembly this morning. This donation from JTF on behalf of Mantengu Mining marks a significant step in our mission to fully support our adopted schools.
The excitement was palpable as over a thousand students gathered in the courtyard. The assembly began with a heartfelt guard of honour by the student body, welcoming JTF Founder and Mantengu Mining Chairman, Mr. Jonas Tshikundamalema, and members of the Hackers Golf Club, proud alumni of the school.
Following Principal Boom’s welcome, Mr. Tshikundamalema addressed the learners, inspiring them with a key message: “Confidence is the key that will open opportunities for you, regardless of your circumstances or where you come from.”
The handover ceremony represented the fulfillment of a promise made by Mantengu Mining CEO, Mr. Mike Miller, at the 2024 JTF Charity Golf Gala Dinner. This contribution underscores JTF’s ongoing commitment to creating sustainable, impactful change within educational communities.
As the JTF team we are confident that this technological investment will empower both current and future students, opening new doors for digital learning and innovation in rural schools.
JTF is proud to partner with Mantengu Mining in supporting Westernberg Secondary. Together, we’re investing in futures.
