What is a Drop-In Centre?

A Drop-In Centre is a community-based facility that provides food, care, psychosocial support and developmental services to vulnerable children, helping them stay safe, supported and connected to their in communities. Established in terms of the Children’s Act 38 of 2005.

Children, parents and caregivers are encouraged to contact their local social workers for information on available drop-in centres in their area or visit your local Department of Social Development (DSD) office.

and just like that, a love for reading grows...

Nal'ibali 's newspaper supplements aren’t just being read, they’re being kept. Children are cutting out their favourite stories, folding pages, and saving them to take home, creating little personal collections they can return to again and again.

These supplements have become more than a once-off resource. We extremely love the way our kids are sparking creativity, encouraging ownership, and helping children build their own growing libraries, one cut-out story at a time.

This is the power of accessible reading materials: our organisation too don’t just reach children, we stay with them.
