Maraba Reviving Hope Multipurpose Centre(MRHMC) is an initially established youth and old age organization that was founded in January 2017 and registered as a Non-Profit Organization in March 2017. Our aim is to promote, foster and encourage positive attitude among youth and community integration, development through sports and culture in an appreciate manner.

Maraba Reviving Hope Multipurpose Centre in partnership with the Department of Social Development and Manamela Youth Development recently conducted an Online Tertiary Applications Roadshow at Ngakana Secondary School in Matlala Madietane. The initiative was aimed at assisting Grade 12 learners with applications to Universities, TVET colleges and NSFAS with the goal of ensuring that they have access to tertiary education in the 2027 academic year. Since April 2026, the organisation has been supporting both out-of-school youth and current matriculants with tertiary applications and career guidance.

This programme has been running for several years, and its impact continues to be evident with many young people who previously received assistance now proudly pursuing their studies or having graduated and entered the next chapter of their lives. As we approach the Matric Final Examinations, we wish every matriculant the very best of luck.The doors to universities, TVET colleges and other opportunities are waiting for them. Maraba Reviving Hope Multipurpose Centre (MRHMC) in partnership with the Department of Social Development (DSD) and Manamela Youth Development, successfully hosted the Save the Children SA Skills to Succeed (S2S) Training at Pudutje Primary School in Ga Matlala Ga Manamela.

The training brought together youth aged 18–29 from Ga Manamela and neighbouring villages who are seeking guidance and opportunities in education, employment, entrepreneurship and skills development.

Participants were equipped with practical and mindset-changing modules including Job Search Skills, Life Skills, Growth Mindset and Green Mindset.

We believe that even when jobs are scarce, empowered youth can create their own path. This training is aimed at assisting young people to become work-ready, start small income-generating initiatives and become change-makers in their communities. Through the Green Mindset component, we also introduced them to sustainable opportunities in agriculture, recycling and green businesses.

We are honoured to have been invited by the Limpopo Legislature to participate in the 2026 Taking Legislature to the People programme held from 31 August to 03 September at the Senwabarwana Sport Complex, Blouberg Local Municipality, under the theme "Deepening public participation to advance development and accountability in Blouberg Local Municipality." As stakeholders, we were given a platform to present on critical issues affecting young people.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the Legislature for providing transport for our 22 youth volunteers who are actively participating in democratic processes through our Non Profit Organization. Their involvement reaffirms our commitment to amplifying youth voices and strengthening public participation. 💯

Youth aged 18–29 from Moletjie Ga-Mabitsela gathered at Motana Primary School for the Save the Children Skills to Succeed Training (S2S), hosted by Maraba Reviving Hope Multipurpose Centre (MRHMC) in partnership with the Department of Social Development (DSD).

This workshop happened after MRHMC was approached by the youth of Ga Mabitsela who are seeking opportunities in education, employment, skills development and entrepreneurship.

The S2S training covered key areas including Job Search Skills, Life Skills, Growth Mindset and Green Mindset.

In a time when jobs are scarce but ideas are plenty, we are equipping young people with the mindset and practical tools to become employable, start their own income-generating projects and lead initiatives in their communities. A green mindset also opens doors to opportunities in agriculture, recycling and sustainable businesses.

As part of our ongoing support, the organization will also assist with registering and mentoring a youth Non-Profit Organization. This will serve as a platform for the youth of Mabitsela to access opportunities and drive development in their community.💯

Young people aged 18–29 from Waschbank Ga-Maraba recently took part in a 2-DAY Save the Children Skills to Succeed Training hosted by Maraba Reviving Hope Multipurpose Centre.

Over two days participants were trained in LIFE SKILLS, GROWTH MINDSET, GREEN MINDSET and JOB SEARCH SKILLS-the foundation for both personal growth and economic participation.In contemporary South Africa, the gap between education and employment remains wide.

This training matters because it equips youth with the mindset and practical skills to become employable, start income-generating activities and lead small projects in their communities. When our villages have skilled, confident and opportunity-ready youth, the local economy grows. A green mindset also encourages sustainable practices that protect our natural resources, while opening doors to new opportunities in agriculture, recycling and community-based businesses.

Through this partnership with Save the Children SA and the Department of Social Development, we are building a generation of resilient, adaptable and opportunity-ready youth who will drive development in their communities.

The Department of Social Development (DSD) in collaboration with the National Youth Development Agency (NYDA) and Bakone Bakopane Community Development hosted a Life Skills Workshop at Ngakana Secondary School in Ga-Matlala Madietane. The initiative was specifically targeted at Grade 11 and Grade 12 learners with the objective of equipping them with the necessary guidance, values and skills to navigate their academic journey and future aspirations.

During the session, the NYDA facilitated a comprehensive Career Guidance presentation. Learners were introduced to a wide spectrum of career pathways available at both universities and TVET colleges. Furthermore, they were provided with critical information regarding NSFAS funding and other bursary opportunities designed to improve access to tertiary education for deserving students.

A Probation Officer from the DSD also addressed the learners. He emphasized the importance of diligence, discipline and academic excellence. Learners were urged to abstain from substance abuse, remain committed in their studies and strive to perform to the best of their ability in their examinations. The motivation underscored that such commitment is vital in preventing learners from getting involved in criminal activities.

Other stakeholders who were invited are Maraba Reviving Hope Multipurpose Centre (MRHMC),Southern African Association of Youth Clubs (SAAYC) and Manamela Youth Development.As part of the support interventions,MRHMC has committed to returning to the school to conduct a FREE Online Applications Roadshow for matriculants. This intervention aims to assist learners with tertiary applications ahead of the official closing dates for universities and TVET colleges.
