THE FOLLOWING POSITION IS AVAILABLE AT SILULUMANZI
1 X ASSISTANT PLUMBER
Department: Operations
Report to: Distribution Foreman
Location: Matsulu Workshop
The successful applicant is required to perform the following key functions, amongst other duties:
• Plan and prepare to perform plumbing work as per job instructions.
• Install, repair, and maintain basic plumbing components, PVC, AC, and ductile pipes.
• Organise and control plumbing installation and maintenance of soil, wastewater, and vent systems.
• Maintain and repair plumbing and drainage systems.
• Apply basic plumbing principles.
• Repair leaking hydrants and valves.
• Check and repair low- and high-pressure complaints.
• Identify and mark valves.
• Meter maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with the OHS Act.
The applicant is required to have:
• Grade 12, N3 Plumbing or equivalent NQF 5 qualification preferred.
• Valid Code B driver’s license. (NOTE: All positions that require a valid driver’s license is subject to third-party drivers testing by a registered institution)
• Two years’ experience in operation and maintenance of water distribution and wastewater collection systems.
