Representing SANCA Limpopo, Mr Walter Dube, a social worker, delivered a powerful presentation on the influence of alcohol and drugs in GBV-related cases.

Mr Dube explained how substance abuse is a leading factor that can contribute to individuals engaging in or becoming victims of gender-based violence, often due to impaired judgement and loss of self-control while under the influence.

He further highlighted the detrimental effects of alcohol and drugs on both mental and physical health, encouraging students to make informed choices and seek help when struggling with addiction or emotional challenges.
