Dear Truckers and Friends, what a privilege and experience it was to have exposure at the TRUCK KING EXPO at Diggers Rugby Club in Midrand during the past weekend, where we could meet many Road Freight Trucking Companies and share the Southern Africa Truckers Ministry (SATM) Vision with many, while sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ together with free Audio Bibles. A wonderful meeting with Dion from BAKERS, who shared where his name is derived from Scripture in Acts, while Danisile was a Se-Swati driver from Swaziland who presented their Swaziland Transport Company during the Expo and was totally open in confessing His Faith in his Saviour. Such joyful moments where God's (our Heavenly Father's) presence was sure, and people received His Word when we shared our testimony in private. Also comforting to be invited to next year's Trucking Expo in Durban as presented by Aven Naidu AVEMEL (Chatsworth) during the middle of April 2027. Praise God for His presence in the early morning, when the entire area where the EXPO would take place was covered with mist, according to one of the EXPO representatives. May the Good News proceed where there is a sure HOPE for all who submit. May God be with the management of Truck King Expo (Ridwaan, Shaun and Alusha)

Dear TRUCKERS and Friends
What do you do with your personal challenges in life, as our choices determine our outcome? Many years ago, a young girl was at a difficult place in her life, where she was invited to share her challenges. She dropped a short note in a “post box” as a cry for help. A pastor prayed with her, and she made a decision to receive Jesus into her life. Suddenly, she experienced how all her challenges and their “weight” were just released. What an amazing experience to be free from the “blemish” of guilt due to sin, and this was the start of a new life that continues to this day. This did not at all imply that her life would be easy now or without any struggles, but she did now have the understanding and knowledge that she would not have to face it alone, as God’s Spirit was with her through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Through the years this lady has grown to a woman who loves God and serves Him with all she has within her family and Southern Africa Truckers Ministry (SATM), as well as TFC Global AFRICA (Truckers for Christ)
The opposite was experienced many years later, when another young woman visited an Off Sales Liquor Store, where the founder of SATM assisted “temporarily”. As a Child of God, he placed Bibles on the counter for free to customers. When the said young lady entered the liquor store, Br Adriaan assisted her with a “tot” mini-bottle of Gordon’s Gin. He handed her the order after payment, and she consumed the contents on the spot; she repeated it 3 times in the next hour. On the third occasion, he presented a Bible, as it was clear that she needed help. Her response was, "How is it possible that a Bible is presented in a Liquor Store?" She wanted to know what Br Adriaan was called to do, after which he explained that he was a Missionary serving God. She then made it clear that she was angry at God, as He allowed her father to pass away, and within a month her husband also passed away; therefore, she was not interested in a Bible. Br Adriaan asked if she knew Ruth and Job in Scripture, to which she denied any knowledge. Br Adriaan opened a Bible to the book of Ruth 1 in Scripture, where we read of Naomi, who lost her husband and two sons where the one of whom was married to Ruth before he passed away. Verse 20 clearly describes this woman at the counter: “And she said to them, call me not Naomi [pleasant]; call me Mara [bitter], for the Almighty has dealt very bitterly with me.” But God intervened, as we see in the walk of faith in chapter 2:20: Blessed be he of the Lord who has not ceased his kindness to the living and to the dead,” which gives HOPE. This depressed young lady seeking help from liquor sat in front of the counter with the Bible, reading the Word, but apparently it did not take hold in her life. Many people face struggles on their own and do not know how to cope, as they have no HOPE. If this person reflects you, remember that we have a Saviour who does not leave us the way we are. He is our Hope, and may you take it to heart. Please make a decision and commit your life to Jesus Christ where he is gracious and merciful.

Dear TRUCKERS and Friends
Having the privilege of being on the back of an American Saddleback horse as it takes its stride in the “RACK gait” it is exhilarating as sudden power comes alive in a way where it would be difficult to change its course. An amazing experience: this fast, flashy, four-beat lateral gait, where the horse delivers equal, highly cadenced intervals for each foot with immense speed and smooth momentum, allowing the rider to sit completely undisturbed. Therefore, keeping only one hoof on the ground at a time ("3 up, 1 down") during the gait (stride). But be assured that the rider must control the animal’s power to steer it, prompting the horse through the 5 different “gaits” (almost like 5 gears in a vehicle), which requires knowledge and experience not to confuse the horse. This is almost the same understanding of going through the gears of a vehicle or truck “18 wheeler”, etc. When done correctly, it secures a smooth ride, especially when at a lawful speed and controlled. Where there is assurance of what is to follow or what is expected, it brings fluency and an indication of flow and a goal to be achieved based on knowledge and understanding.
A person who is committed to a certain cause is focused and dedicated to their calling, be it personal or at work; he or she acts in a manner that reflects a sure motivation and purpose. Moreover, a person who has dedicated him or herself to specific principles which would relate to his or her belief system. When in traffic, it can also be seen when a driver drives and acts indecisively, which can cause an accident. In Scripture, Psalm 37:31 it is stated that "The law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide“ In the Hebrew language, there are very clear indications of what is at hand when there is KNOWLEDGE (Understanding of the LAW giving direction and instruction), a WILLING HEART, SUBMISSION TO GOD, NO SLIDING OR SLIPPING OR WAVERING, STEPS (referring to the “gait” or tread). In Afrikaans language it says, directly translated: YOUR GAIT SHALL NOT BE UNSURE OR WOBBLE OR FALTER. The previous verse stated, as a forerunner, that there is wisdom in the words of the righteous (through Jesus’ death on the cross, borne on our behalf undeservingly for our sins when we submit and believe). Therefore, my dear friend, let us take hold of our Heavenly Father God’s Word with (Southern Africa Truckers Ministry) SATM in dedication, following in the footsteps of Jesus. When we are on track and focused, our “gait” / tread shall be steadfast and not waver in the same manner as the saddleback horse takes it in a stride under the control of the rider. We shall also take it in a stride in spite of trials and challenges faced, when we are submitted to the control and direction of God the Holy Spirit. May you experience and SEE His working in your life when you follow his guidance in every step, knowing that out of yourself you can not achieve it. Please be safe on the road.

Dear TUCKERS and Friends
There is a saying: “Out of sight out of mind” which could also pose the question in regards to what is happening behind the scenes as there has been some silence from a certain individual or party? This has been the situation for the past few weeks in regards to SATM’s presence. Although we were not on our platforms propagating exposure to the needs and challenges of the Trucking Industry, SATM have been privileged in the past month to be invited to present their focus and goals within the road freight industry as pursued on different platforms. All our thanks to HP and his team, organising the KRAGDAG EXPO; who has given us the opportunity to exhibit our work and efforts at this prestigious annual event at Rayton close to the N4. Here we had warm discussions with a variety of people from all walks of life who came and shared a common love for God, our Heavenly Father and His works within the road freight industry. We were encouraged and strengthened by those who visited and even said that they could not pass when they realised what the SATM exhibition was about. God’s Spirit drew us together and could we arrange for follow-up meetings in the week to come. Amazing it was to have young people who visited us and shared a mutual love for God and witnessed about their “salvation” through Jesus Christ.
Then we had the opportunity to meet up with two fellow Christian congregations from Polokwane, Eg. the NG Pietersburg Noord and NG Kremetart congregations (Dutch Reformed) . Here we could reaffirm our relationships as built across many years to date. Thank you to Rev. Hannes Bezuidenhout, Me Daleen Scheepers (TaxCom Accountants) and Rev. Tjaart Meyer and George Malan (VERITAS Accountants) who played key roles in this opportunities.
Thank you to Rev. Sarel Venter who also visited SATM and Willem Botha (from the Reformed Church) together with Willie Laing who serves in Polokwane, who accompanied us for the day in sharing a mutual passion for TRUCK DRIVERS.
Many people were amazed when we shared about the challenges that TRUCK DRIVERS face on a daily base en route, and could we make them aware of the many needs that these men and women experience as part of their calling away from their families for long periods of time.
Great was our excitement when men from different walks of life came and offered to serve in some or other way. Therefore it is clear that we were never alone, as God was with us in many ways where we could experience His care via fellow believers and supporters. Therefore we can state as Scripture says in Proverbs 4:21 says, "DO NOT LET THEM OUT OF YOUR SIGHT, KEEP THEM WITHIN YOUR HEART" Even though we do not see all TRUCK DRIVERS or speak to them in person, they remain precious to all of us who is involved with SATM. Therefore be assured that we are dedicated to serving TRUCKERS all across Africa where possible with the love of God and giving guidance. Dear TRUCKERS and Friends
Indecisive driving is a great cause of many accidents where lives are lost, especially at traffic light crossings where a YELLOW (amber) LIGHT is shown to warn drivers of the compulsory STOP signal (RED LIGHT) which will follow within seconds. Therefore called the INDECISION ZONE. According to the NIH National Centre for Biotechnology Information ( based on International studies), yellow signal indications at intersections are well-known to be a contributor to traffic crashes. This study examined drivers' behaviour during yellow signal indications at such “indecision zones”. DRIVERS' DECISION ON STOPPING OR NOT AT A YELLOW SIGNAL INDICATION, is clearly associated with different variables such as general perceptions of what is permissible within the traffic rules (obedience to the Road Act or not), bad discernment of speed travelled, timing and distance, etc. At a signalized intersection, drivers must MAKE A STOP/GO DECISION AT THE ONSET OF THE YELLOW SIGNAL. Incorrect decisions would lead to RED LIGHT RUNNING (RLR) VIOLATIONS OR CRASHES. Furthermore, the ACCELERATIONS OF VEHICLES AFTER THE ONSET OF THE YELLOW SIGNAL are positively related to RLR violations.
According to the K53 driving rules in South Africa: Amber (yellow) light INSTRUCTS STOP IF IT IS SAFE TO DO SO. You may CONTINUE ONLY if stopping would be dangerous (you are too close to the stop line). THE YELLOW / AMBER PHASE IS NOT A WARNING TO SPEED UP.
The yellow light INSTRUCTS DRIVERS TO PREPARE TO STOP. The fact that irresponsible drivers speed up, at the sight of a yellow light have caused THE UNLAWFUL UNDERSTANDING that such conduct is the “rule of law” which ends fatal in many cases. This, together with the fear that a reckless driver could “rear end” crash into you when stopping safely, as the law requires at the sight of such a yellow light, contributes to INDECISIVE DRIVING. Therefore, all drivers need to be aware of the traffic rules and be alert for the possible actions of fellow road users, while indicating early your own conduct when approaching a yellow/amberyellow / amber light at a traffic intersection.
In Scripture, 1 Kings 18:21, we see how the prophet Elijah asks the people how long they will limp between two different opinions, telling them to choose God or Baal. In Matthew 6:24 Jesus states that no one can serve two masters without loving one and hating the other. Either being obedient to the Law or acting criminally, where you could lose your life or cause the loss of other road users’ lives. Please join hands with SATM (Southern Africa Truckers Ministry) and make a decision in obedience, respecting the Road Act where we can be safe and preserve the lives of all around us. Make sure that you know how to conduct your driving and BE SURE OF YOUR ROUTE, so that it shall enable us to arrive alive at our destinations. Please pray for your fellow road users as you travel, that God, our Heavenly Father, shall protect them and guide them by His Grace in Jesus Christ.

Dear TRUCKERS and Friends
It touches a person’s heart when you observe that someone has reached the end of their own abilities to address their needs, be it emotionally, physically, spiritually, etc. When you and I fall into a difficult situation or where we may need help, it could be devastating, depending on our own attitude. Are you willing to admit failure and seek help, crucifying our pride, or do we persist in stubbornness? We can sit in our corner and sulk, or we could reach out, seeking and calling for help if would be serious about changing our situation. Obviously, we need to accept a hand stretched out to us and not predict how assistance should be presented. If serious in our attempts to change our situation, we would evaluate all possibilities and opportunities at hand. Matthew 7: 7 & 8 in Scripture states that when we ASK WE SHALL RECEIVE, WHEN WE SEEK WE SHALL FIND, WHEN WE KNOCK IT SHALL BE OPENED. It is clear in Scripture that Jesus Christ did not attend to people who were not seeking help. Those who made an effort to get help in whatever way received help, assistance, and healing. The blind man Bartimaeus in Mark 10:47 CRIED OUT to Jesus. In Luke 17:13, 10 men suffering from disease (Leprosy) SHOUTED OUT for Jesus to show mercy upon them. When Hezekiah and his people were threatened by the enemy in war, according to 2 Kings 19:14-15, he cried out to God for His intervention. Hagar in Genesis 16:13-14 & 21:15-19 was faced with rejection and cast out of her master’s household, where she served while being deceived and cried out to God for her and her child, fearing death. In all these cases and many more different circumstances and situations, GOD, OUR HEAVENLY FATHER, HAS ANSWERED AND PROVIDED AN OUTCOME WITH GUIDANCE AND RELIEF, which benefited those who CALLED AND CRIED OUT TO HIM to His glory. More so, where Nicodemus (leader and senior official) wanted to know how he could receive God’s grace and salvation, while Paul states in Romans 10:13 “Everyone who calls out to the Lord for help will be saved.” While James 5:13 to 15 states that if any among you are in trouble? They should pray. Are any among you happy? They should sing praises. 14 Are any among you sick? They should send for the church elders, who will pray for them and rub olive oil on them in the name of the Lord. 15This prayer made in faith will HEAL THE SICK (Physical and Spiritual); the Lord will RESTORE THEM TO HEALTH, and the SINS THEY HAVE COMMITTED WILL BE FORGIVEN. Take hands with SATM (Southern Africa Truckers Ministry) in this effort to share GOOD NEWS as Romans 10:14 states the challenge: “But how can they CALL TO HIM FOR HELP if they have not believed? And how can they believe if they have not heard the message? And how can they hear if the message is not proclaimed?” Therefore, we need to witness his work in our lives. So decide if you are serious about change in your life for the better on every level in submission to God through His son Jesus Christ. When you have reached the end of yourself and your own strength, God can add LIFE to you. EVERLASTING LIFE
