Once again, the SATM (Southern Africa Truckers Ministry) team in Polokwane (Andre and Willie) reached out to serve Truck Drivers at Shell Ultra City. Providing resources and guidance from God, our Heavenly Father's Word, together with a Prayer on their behalf for the road ahead, while these men have to face many challenges en route. Dear Friends and TRUCKERS
A "Zero Accidents" vision, as maintained by Volvo Trucks, drives advanced, standard safety features, including PEDESTRIAN/CYCLIST DETECTION, COLLISION WARNINGS WITH EMERGENCY BRAKING, and DRIVER FATIGUE MONITORING. Key Volvo Truck Safety Features, such as upgraded Driver Alert Support, which uses cameras to MONITOR FOR FATIGUE OR DISTRACTION, while LANE KEEPING SUPPORT and INTELLIGENT SPEED ASSIST (via speed sign recognition) keep the driver informed. The "STRETCH BRAKE", which helps to PREVENT JACK-KNIFING WHEN DRIVING DOWNHILL on slippery surfaces are a much valued asset in this regard. It is accepted that all these features are developed with wisdom based on data/statistics and valuable information gathered over a time span.
As confirmation of such a vision, Scripture guides us in Proverbs 4 and verses 30 to 35, where WISDOM is reflected as a valuable source available to an Architect or Director of a project, which would be empowered by it, as a “guarantee” to joy and happiness when his work (project) is evaluated during operation. Many Truck Drivers can witness about the “safety features” described above, which complement their calling and provide many reasons for thankfulness in this regard.
Remember that "THE FEAR OF THE LORD IS THE BEGINNING OF WISDOM" (Proverbs 9:10) means that true wisdom starts with a deep, reverent awe and respect for God, recognizing His holiness, authority, and sovereignty. Seeking and applying WISDOM on a continued basis would benefit and bring forth “life”.

teams of all road freight truck (transport) manufacturers who are truly dedicated and focused on the safety of their products roaming the globe via distribution networks across the world. May we all ACT IN WISDOM and with guidance as we see in Scripture, on our daily walk, as it shall be to the benefit of those who adhere to it.

Most of us have heard the words “If you can’t beat them, join them”. A terrible decision, applicable in most cases, where there may be a contest or battle between good and evil, and in many instances, it may seem as if the “bad” is succeeding. Just what the deceiver and worker of iniquity in our lives would like us to do, BUT is this contrary to what the Word of God says when we walk by faith and not by sight. Our walk and talk would reflect our choice in life as well as the company we seek and whose counsel we accept. We all know that the “fruit” of our hearts and minds shall reveal our choice. Psalm 1 teaches us that we should NOT walk and live in the counsel of the ungodly [following their advice, their plans and purposes], NOR stand [submissive and inactive] in the path where sinners walk, NOR sit down [to relax and rest] where the scornful [and the mockers] gather. One who adheres to God’s Word shall be BLESSED (Happy, fortunate, prosperous, etc.) walking in faith. When we counteract and delight ourselves in the precepts and instructions of God’s Word by day and night, we shall have peace surpassing all understanding, according to Philippians 4:6+7, NOT FALLING INTO ANXIETY. Then we find that God our heavenly Father declares in Ps. 1:3 that we shall BE LIKE A TREE FIRMLY PLANTED BY THE STREAMS OF WATER, READY TO BRING FORTH ITS FRUIT in its season; its leaf also shall not fade or wither; and EVERYTHING HE DOES SHALL PROSPER. Not so for the wicked [the mockers whom you could “join” in desperation, living without God] according to verse 4. They are like the chaff [worthless, dead, without substance] which the wind drives away, due to their wickedness, disobedience, and living without God where you could find yourself [not justified] in the final judgment, where the righteous [those who are upright and in right standing with God] shall be saved in Christ Jesus, the Son of God. Verse 6 states that the Lord knows and is fully acquainted with the way of the righteous, but the way of the ungodly [those living outside God's will] shall perish (end in ruin and come to nought).
Let us all take hands with SATM (Southern Africa Truckers Ministry) and declare our faith and trust in God, knowing that we are firmly planted like a tree by streams of LIVING WATER provided in Christ (John 7:38+39) where we shall produce HIS FRUIT according to Galatians 5:22 (Eg. love, joy (gladness), peace, patience (an even temper, forbearance), kindness, goodness (benevolence), faithfulness, Gentleness (meekness, humility), self-control (self-restraint, continence)

Dear TRUCK DRIVERS and Friends,
When long-awaited expected visits materialise or are answered, and a loved one arrives, it gives much joy for those who were waiting in excitement. Just look at the reactions of family members who meet after arrival at the airport, be it in tears or laughter. In the same manner, those who received good news about loved ones on the phone reveal smiles and jubilation. Even when fans wait at the airport for their national team to arrive after a victorious tour, there is jubilation and celebration. This time of the year (called Advent) reflects the expectancy and waiting of Christians preparing for the “arrival” or the "coming" of Christ. during Christ-mas, indicating the start of the church year, focusing on hope, peace, joy, and love. As such, Scripture prophesied (Isaiah 9:6-7, Is 25:1; 40:9-11; Matt 28:18; Luke 2:11) of the coming of a new King, begotten, born more than 2025 years ago, who would be the Saviour of the world with so much promise as we find in Dan 2:44; 1 Cor 15:25-28; Heb 1:8. For whoever would believe in Him as the Son of God, would receive everlasting life (with a Living Hope) and not perish. Go and read the quoted verses for yourself and celebrate this event in memory of the only living God who fulfils His promises as time continues. Take hands with SATM (Southern Africa Truckers Ministry) in excitement of the celebration of His birth and the expectancy of this King to return from where He sits at the right hand of His Father, from where He shall come to judge the world, those who did not accept His act of sacrificial love when He laid down His life at the cross at Calvary, for all. But did not remain in the grave (as it is empty), but rose again in victory, as we read in Isaiah 9:7, where an end will come to this dark world in the final judgement, where He will reign. That is a HOPE TO LIVE FOR IN EXPECTATION OF THE SECOND (and final) COMING.

Dear TRUCKERS and Friends
What is the reason for your decisions in life? Be it small or big, irrespective of your personal circumstances. Where you decide to change direction or move aside for some other reason, it is a very important question, as you could regret it if not well planned and with clear objectives in mind. More so in traffic, when reckless driving as presented by other road users could cause damage and loss of lives. When we take to heart God’s nature and love for His Creation, man on earth, we shall act accordingly and be attentive to the well-being of others around us, and prevent possible unnecessary accidents which could be fatal. For those of us who are believers in the Word of God as followers of Christ, this question and its answer are crucial (strategic), as we need to take to heart God’s instructions and guidance. Especially when He prompts us to act as He states in Isaiah 30:21, “And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, ‘This is the way, walk in it,’ when you turn to the right or when you turn to the left.” Jesus sent His disciples, the Apostles, to GO as instructed in Luke 10:4 and NOT BE IDLE OR WASTE TIME along the road. All of these instances had a Godly (strategic) reason behind such instruction and obedience, which would preserve our lives for the better. In the same sense, we see how Moses knew that it would be devastating to act without God (Ex. 33:1, 12-15), our Heavenly Father’s approval, directives, and presence in such a step. Therefore, please let us all in unity with SATM (Southern Africa Truckers Ministry), SEEK HIS FACE AND PRESENCE daily TO SEE WHAT HE HAS IN MIND FOR US based on Scripture or ANSWERED PRAYER, as we may regret our walk without His covering, due to wrong assumptions or pursued self-centred ideals. Therefore, take to heart. Please do not disregard this advice, as it is based on Scripture, and ignorance could cost you dearly.

Dear TRUCKERS and Friends Something observed “close by,” such as an elephant or Interlink Truck, could present “greatness,” although when viewed from a distance, it would appear small and could influence our perception of such an object.
As such, our experience of God our heavenly Father; would be DETERMINED BY THE CLOSENESS, “depth” and seriousness of your and my relationship with Him. For obvious reasons, dedicated believers would greatly regard God’s hand and work in their lives. Where there is a lack of closeness it would surely change views. Closeness and distance would provide different views and understanding. When a person is questioned about his or her perception of God’s greatness, we have a frame of reference as exposed in His creation which should strengthen our Faith as reflected in Romans 1:20: “For ever since the creation of the world HIS INVISIBLE ATTRIBUTES, His ETERNAL POWER and DIVINE NATURE, have been clearly seen, being understood through HIS WORKMANSHIP [ALL HIS CREATION, the WONDERFUL THINGS THAT HE HAS MADE], so that they [who fail to believe and trust in Him] are without excuse and defense. [Ps 19:1-4; Eph 2:10]”
Testimonies of God’s working in our personal lives when we are LIVING CLOSE TO HIM, trusting Him with our lives and decisions, add further strength and adoration for His Grace and love for us (His Creation). This is despite us undeserving of His mercy and understanding for our failures. In terms of His greatness, we see that He is ABLE TO DO FAR MORE THAN what we “dare ask or think [infinitely beyond our greatest prayers, hopes, or dreams], according to His power that is at work within us,…”(Eph 3:20) as nothing is impossible for Him according to Luke 1:37 and Jer.32:27.
Being privileged to experience His Creation, we see something of His “ability” which calls for the FEAR OF GOD where we can stand in awe when He is described in Isaiah 40 verse 12 :
“Who has measured the waters IN THE HOLLOW OF HIS HAND, And marked off the heavens with a SPAN [OF THE HAND], And CALCULATED THE DUST OF THE EARTH with a measure, And WEIGHED THE MOUNTAINS in a balance and the hills in a pair of scales?”
When we contemplate on this “portrait” together with an acknowledgment of His ever-present Hand upon our lives, we can WITNESS OF A GREAT EVERLASTING LIVING GOD, OUR FATHER IN HEAVEN.

Bring their management and labor force before our Heavenly Father and pray for His guidance in their operations. Pray for their families' well-being and God’s hand upon their clients. Please make an effort and reach out to these Truck Drivers at the ENGEN 1-Stop (North & South) as well as the various Transport Company Depots in the area. Take a few minutes and show your interest in their lives and well-being. Share with them your Testimony and a Word of Encouragement from God (our Heavenly Father's) Word.
