GIYANI - Several learners were reportedly injured after a vehicle allegedly driven by a female teacher crashed into a classroom at Zamani Nkuri, outside Giyani, Limpopo.

The SGB Federation is demanding answers following shocking allegations of examination malpractice at Makopole 1 Secondary School.

It has allegedly emerged at the Centralised Marking Centre that learners who wrote Mathematics and Mathematics Literacy had access to the examination memorandum.

🚨 THIS IS NOT THE FIRST INCIDENT!

In an earlier examination, three learners allegedly copied the Afrikaans version of the memorandum—an irregularity that was reportedly detected without immediate decisive intervention.

WHERE IS THE ACCOUNTABILITY?

The alleged repeated examination irregularities raise serious questions about the conduct of officials responsible for safeguarding the integrity of examinations.

Why has the Circuit Manager allegedly failed to act decisively?

Why should honest learners suffer while alleged examination malpractice goes unchecked?

Who is protecting the integrity of our examinations?

The SGB Federation has now taken the matter to UMALUSI, demanding a proper, independent investigation and accountability.

SGB FEDERATION CALLS FOR INVESTIGATION INTO ALLEGED NSNP FOOD THEFT

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
11 August 2026

The SGB Federation in Limpopo has raised serious concerns regarding allegations of the unauthorised removal and possible theft of National School Nutrition Programme (NSNP) food at Serokoloana Primary School.

The allegations reportedly involve members of the School Governing Body and school Principal. The Federation has formally opened a criminal case with the Janefurse police station, called for the matter to be investigated and for the principal who allegedly has a romantic relationship with senior officials at the district to face appropriate disciplinary and criminal action.

The Federation condemns any misuse of resources intended for learners and calls on the Department of Education and SAPS to ensure that the matter is investigated fairly, independently and without fear or favour.
“Food provided for learners must reach learners. Those entrusted with school resources must be held accountable where wrongdoing is established.”

The Federation will cooperate with law-enforcement authorities and provide any information or evidence in its possession.
