The 2nd Edition of the Konco Schools Sports Tournament – U/16 was successfully held on 15 August 2026 at Kwanokuthula Stadium, Plettenberg Bay, featuring soccer, rugby and netball.

Konco Sports Development is proud to announce the 2nd Edition of the Konco Schools Sports Tournament, now bigger and better with our Under-16 division.

This exciting tournament will bring together talented young athletes from across the Garden Route to compete in Soccer, Netball, and Rugby. More than just a competition, the tournament is dedicated to developing talent, promoting teamwork, encouraging discipline, and creating opportunities for young people through sport.

Konco Sports Development is proud to have partnered with Helen Melon Properties to donate sports equipment to Kwanokuthula Primary School and Phakamisani Primary School.

This contribution is an investment in the future of our learners. Sport in schools plays a vital role in promoting healthy lifestyles, building confidence, encouraging teamwork, and developing discipline and leadership. By providing quality sports equipment, we are helping learners participate more actively, discover their talents, and enjoy equal opportunities to grow both on and off the field.

Mandela Day Initiative 2026 | Giving Back Through Sport ⚽💙

Today, Konco Sports Development donated soccer balls and training bibs to a local football team as part of our Mandela Day initiative. We also shared words of encouragement and motivation with the young athletes, reminding them to believe in themselves, stay disciplined, and never give up on their dreams.

📢 YOUTH MONTH FUNDRAISER INVITATION ⚽

As we celebrate Youth Month, Konco Sports Development and Kabo Yellow Football Club invite you to join us for a special Fundraiser Evening at Yellowwood Spur.

📅 Date: 23 June 2026
⏰ Time: 18:00 – 20:00
📍 Venue: Yellow Wood Spur

This initiative aims to support the growth and sustainability of Kabo Yellow Football Club by assisting with equipment, transport, and player development opportunities for our young athletes.

In the spirit of Youth Month, Kabo Yellow F.C. boys aged 13–15 will participate in a job-shadowing experience at Yellowwood Spur, giving them valuable exposure to the working world while developing leadership, communication, and workplace skills.

Your support will not only help strengthen the club but also empower young people with opportunities that extend beyond the football field. Together, we can invest in the future of our youth and help them reach their full potential.

Konco Sports supported Youth Development by hosting a Financial Literacy and Business Skills Training at the Kwanokuthula Community Hall.

We are excited to announce a 5-day Skills Training and Financial Literacy Programme that will be held in Plettenberg Bay. This initiative is specifically for unemployed youth, and we are inviting participants from all areas of Plettenberg Bay to apply.

The training will be conducted and facilitated in partnership with Standard Bank, NYDA, Department of Social Development and the Bitou Municipality.

*Who can apply?*
Unemployed youth between the ages of 18–35 years

*Number of participants:*
Only 45 people will be selected
