LUNCHBOX THEATRE

LUNCHBOX THEATRE Making kids wiser, one show at a time, one audience member at a time. Stuart Palmer is one of those lucky people who has found his calling.

He loves uplifting people, especially families, making a positive and peaceful difference to as many threatened aspects of our precious world as he can, leading people towards enlightenment and awareness and โ€ฆ acting! This is lucky for us because when he came to live in the Garden of Eden he combined all his skills and passions โ€ฆ and Lunchbox Theatre was conceived. Since then he has created and pe

rformed many shows with his troupe of dedicated actors โ€“ A Dog's Life, The Last Drop, iLifa (The Inheritance), Thand' Impilo (Love Life), The Tree Show, The Waste Show and The Whale Show to name but a few. Every show has far reaching effects and make a big difference to South African lives.

Wellness is not only about body and mind. It is also about connection, creativity and community. ๐ŸŒฟโœจ

We are incredibly honoured that Lunchbox Theatre has been chosen as one of the local charities supported by the 1st Annual Holistic Expo Plett. ๐ŸŽญ๐Ÿ’›

100% of the raffle proceeds will go directly to the two selected charities, helping us continue taking interactive theatre, puppetry and meaningful stories to children throughout the Plett community.

Thank you to everyone involved for putting local impact at the heart of the expo. Grab a raffle ticket, win something wonderful, and help create something even more wonderful in return. ๐ŸŽŸ๏ธ๐Ÿซถ

๐ŸŽญ Today, 1 July 2026, Lunchbox Theatre turns 19!

For 19 years, weโ€™ve had the privilege of using theatre, dance, storytelling and play to reach children, families and communities across the Garden Route and beyond.

What makes this birthday so special is realising that Lunchbox now spans generations. Children who joined our programmes 19 years ago are adults today, and some now have children of their own attending our shows, joining workshops and becoming part of the Lunchbox family.

That is the power of the arts. It reaches places that words alone often cannot. It breaks through barriers, opens hearts, sparks conversations and plants seeds that can keep growing for generations.

To every facilitator, actor, supporter, partner, parent, child, donor and friend who has been part of this journey: thank you. You have helped build something beautiful.

Now we look ahead to the next 19 years, and the next 190. ๐ŸŒฑ

Become a Lunchbox Legacy Legend and help us keep the magic moving, one child, one show, one story at a time.

Lunchbox Theatre had the privilege of performing for hundreds of kids, adults and marine enthusiasts at Project U-BuMama Environmental Educationโ€™s Our Ocean Heritage event.

The event took place on Youth Day, 16 June, at the Scarab Open Air Theatre, with multiple speakers talking about the beauty and power of nature, and how we are all interconnected.

It was a fabulous event, bringing a whole lot of nature enthusiasts together, with a high-energy whale show performed for hundreds of kids.

A huge shout-out to Sarah Mackie and Project U-BuMama Environmental Education for creating such a special celebration of our ocean heritage.

With thanks to all the collaborators who helped make the day so meaningful:

Sarah Mackie - Project UbuMama Outdoor Education
Mark Dixon - Strandloper Project
Mark Brown - Discover Eden
