Crocodiles and Alligators are similar to each other in terms of size ("At certain stages of growth") , behavior, and appearance. This in turn can sometimes make it a little difficult to tell them apart. So here is a safe way to learn.
Difference between Crocodiles and Alligators :

Crocodiles are bigger than Alligators when fully grown.
Crocodiles have a V-Shaped Snout
Crocodiles are more powerful and aggressive
When a Crocodile's mouth is closed you will see both the upper and lower jaw's set of teeth.

Alligators are smaller than most crocodile species
Alligator skin is a dark green or black
Alligators have a more U - Shaped, rounded Snout
When an Alligator's mouth is closed you will see only the upper jaw's set of teeth.

This is just a few of the best ways to tell the difference, seeing upclose is a terrible idea...

An amazing 4m, Male African Rock Python removed late at night. The snake managed to find its way into a residents chicken coup, probably looking for a meal. The homeowner heard her chickens in distress and decided to go and have a look. Upon arrival she saw the snake and ran for her dear life. She then decided to call us in ti assist. Snake was safely relocated to Phezulu Safari Park where it has smaller chances of human contact.

An amazing 1.3m Common File Snake that managed to fimd its way into the interior of Hammarsdale Junction Mall. Luckily security personnel on duty were fast to react as they managed to secure the snake until my arrival. It's amazing how people understand snakes.

A lovely 1.1m Mozambique Spitting Cobra removed in a residence in Makwatas Hammarsdale.
