The 'Durban July' is South Africa’s premier horse racing event, combining top-tier thoroughbred racing with a major social and fashion spectacle. The theme for this year was 'Country Allure'. Each year, Gateway School of Fashion enters the fashion competitions. The annual Race Day Fashion Awards, which are open to the public, attracted 150 stylish entrants competing in four sought-after categories:

Most Striking Couple
Classic Racewear – Female
Classic Racewear – Male
Exceptional Raceday Hat or Fascinator

We are very proud to say that our GSF chief facilitator, Brenda Waring won first place in the 'Most Striking Couple' category. Congratulations Brenda!
