On the ongoing tension in South Africa as ZISA NPC , we believe that lasting peace and stability between local South Africans and foreign nationals from other African countries can only be achieved when communities are able to see and experience mutual benefit from living and working together.
Many of the frustrations and tensions that arise within communities are often linked to economic challenges, unemployment, poverty, and the perception that opportunities are limited. In such circumstances, people may begin to view one another as competitors rather than partners.
We believe there is a need to develop practical systems that ensure the presence and participation of all people within communities contributes positively to local development and creates visible benefits for local residents. When properly managed, migration and integration can become an advantage rather than a source of conflict.
A growing population can support economic growth, increase trade, create new markets, encourage investment, and strengthen community enterprises. However, these benefits must be structured in a way that includes and empowers local communities.
Through the African Economic Solidarity Program (AESP), ZiSA advocates for community-centered economic models that create opportunities for local participation, ownership, employment, and shared prosperity. Through the African Nationals Integration Program (ANIP), ZiSA promotes dialogue, understanding, cooperation, and peaceful coexistence among African people living within the same communities.
Our position is that the solution is not division, hostility, or violence. The solution is to build systems that allow communities to grow together, benefit together, and prosper together.
Africa's future will be strongest when development creates value for local communities while promoting unity among African people.
