We are excited to announce that PADCA and HADCA, two of the largest organisations focused on serving the older adults of the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands, are set to merge after our members voted unanimously for this union. We both have impressive track records in the field and bring strong individual qualities to the table. There is a long-standing congenial relationship, which has now culminated in this collaboration.

As non profits and public benefit organisations, it is important for us to ensure our sustainability for the long-term as it gives confidence to those in our communities. Through our person-centred approach, we meet the needs of older adults while balancing the lifestyle they want to have, their health and their finances.

By merging, we can better adapt to the changing environment, remain relevant in an increasingly competitive market, and ensure that we continue to empower ageless living. Our continuum of products and services, and our approach will remain at the heart of what we do. Our community service team will guide residents through this merger. For most residents in PADCA or HADCA villages, the transition will be an easy process, with their day-to-day experiences remaining much the same. There will not be any immediate changes to the prices or anyone’s position on the waiting lists held by each organisation. If you have any questions or concerns, please get in touch. We are here to help you through this change.

The synergy between HADCA and PADCA will increase our geographic and market share in an increasingly competitive space. Pooling resources and skills will improve and expand the service and product basket offered. The new organisation will leverage the opportunity for growth in affordable villages for older adults in the Pietermaritzburg, Hilton and Howick areas - a hotspot for this kind of living, which is especially appealing to those who are “semi-grating” from big cities in South Africa to the KwaZulu Natal Midlands.

As we walk this journey together, we will keep you posted as each phase of this unfolds.

PADCA Experience With The Stakeholder’s Engagement.

Stakeholders plays an important role in the growth of the organization, both Profit and Non-profit organization. They are engaged in every project, campaign, awareness that the organization is planning to host.

PADCA involves all thier stakeholder during Easter Egg Hunt Event which was specifically more on fun, educational activities and all inquiries from the families and friends. Our audience were given pamlets and calendars which has information on the vision, mission, values, purpose of the organization.
PADCA define stakeholders as a group of people with a recognizable relationship with the company including shareholders, customers, suppliers and distributors, employees, local communities. These stakeholders may be characterized under the stakeholder groups which are competition, media, public, lenders, unions, NGOs, government, other business partners and others. Stakeholders’ involvement is important in the organization's strategic plan and to achieve this goal. They provide an innovative and creative strategy of building the bright future of the organization. Moreover, they promote a relevant sustainability issue and help to priorities the opportunities and challenges. When stakeholders re involved, trust is built, and collaborative relationship is built.
In the Easter Egg Hunt Event, the stakeholders that were involved were SAPS, SASSA, Home Affairs, forth Napier Hospital, Arbor together with Metropolitan, uMsunduzi news and eNCA news. The involvement of these stakeholders was the success from the beginning of the preparation of this Easter Egg Event. The meeting was called to plan the event and all stakeholders were present and participating. The stakeholder’s ideas were meaningful and innovative at the same time. Since the event was not funded by the organization, the Board members and shareholders funded this event from their own pocket. The collaboration and coordination from stakeholders helps to eliminates challenges that might occur. The stakeholder’s attendance was great to all the meeting and even on the last day before the event, stakeholders attended the dry run to confirm and to check the event set up.

PADCA was grateful to all the stakeholder’s engagement which made this event a success.
