Thokozani Khumalo TAC Woman Sector leader in Ntuzuma Court, She said:

"Violence against women and children must come to an end. Together, we can and must do more to prevent violence against women, provide services to survivors, and ensure that perpetrators are punished.

Gender-based violence reflects inequities between men and women and compromises the health, dignity, integrity, security and autonomy of its victims. It encompasses a wide range of human rights violations, including sexual abuse of children, r**e, domestic violence, sexual assault and harassment, trafficking of women and girls and several harmful traditional practices. Any one of these abuses can leave deep psychological scars, damage the health of women and girls particularly their reproductive and sexual health, and in most instances, result in death"

Today we commemorate International Human Rights Day and TAC’s 25th anniversary. In celebrating our anniversary, we remember the many family members, comrades, and friends we have lost along the way. People who died without hope. For many, treatment simply came too late. Never again can people be allowed to die in need of HIV treatment and other health services.

We look forward to a night of celebration.

The PLHIV sector doing door to door at KwaMaphumulo inviting communities to attend world aids day to be held in Mandeni Sportsfield on 01 December 2023. Strong advocacy role played by communities is needed more than ever to ensure that AIDS remains on the political agenda, that human rights are respected and that decision-makers and implementers are held accountable.

Let the communities lead.

The PLHIV sector is doing treatment Literacy at Ilembe district in preparation for World Aids Day. They are encouraging people to tell those who have stopped taking medication to return to the facilities to take treatment.

It is time to stop waiting for someone to save us. It is time to face the truth of our situation - that we're all in this together, that we all have a voice.

TAC KwaZulu Natal congratulates the newly elected Ethekwini Civil society leadership. We have no doubt in the leadership collective of EThekwini Municipality DAC.

Nkosikhona Mpungose Uzzi, Zonke Ndlovu and Sandile Khumalo are part of a growing corps of leadership in our province who are emulating the examples set by a succession of notable men and women who have led our society in various capacities.

We are confident that in this eminent role, the collective will serve the interests of our communities with the passion and dedication they have displayed throughout thier career as activist and leaders.

TAC held a meeting with Groutville clinic to discuss access to health care services in this facility and a variety of access barriers. TAC will assist this facility in tracing patients who are disengaged to care.

This is dangerous to the public and dangerous in terms of public health. It's irresponsible. Pastors should instead come off the air on it, look at things much more seriously, and not give this completely wrong advice to the public.

In a province with so many ART patients disengaged to care. Someone needs to account for this. There must be investigation.
