It is with great sadness that we annouce that Dr Reginald Dudley Forde has gone home.

Dudley was the founder and inspiration for the Patrol Leader Training Unit and had a massive impact on so many young lives both in Scouting and his professional life. Although retired for many years Dudley remained interested and in contact with our Unit as recently as this last 121st Lexden Course. His legacy will live on for decades to come.

There was a phone number error in original post. Now corrected.
Should be 082 360 5702

Call to action for Dudley Forde:

Dudley is not well at present and Craig Shaw has requested everyone's help with the following:

I would like to produce a 'mass choir' singing of the Lexden PLTU song for Dudley Forde, as founder of PLTU. The plan is for individuals who have attended PLTU to record themselves (audio only) singing the Lexden Song and then to send it to me via WhatsApp or email. I will then put it all together to sound like a 'mass choir' to send on to Dudley. No instruments and we not looking for choir boy voices...just as they would sing it at Lexden. Will appreciate if you could spread this request on any suitable social media platforms.

Audio submissions can be sent to: 082 360 5702 or [email protected] by Monday afternoon, 25th August.

Thanks
Lexden Unit
