A dream came true. Agape Foundation staff, students of University of Free State and community engagement officer graduated at under the Global University for Life-Long Learning (GULL).Agape Staff graduated Professional Degree in Leadership Development.

Our warm greetings to Professor Richard Teare, President and Co-founder of the Global University for Lifelong Learning (GULL), Professor Ngubeni, fellow graduates, the entire community of the University of the Free State, distinguished guests, and all present.

We salute the Global University for Lifelong Learning around the world.

We extend our sincere appreciation to GULL for this graduation ceremony, and we boldly congratulate ourselves for taking this great step to graduate.

We appreciate the leadership of Agape Foundation for agreeing to be the pioneers of the Action Learning System in our district — we are part of history and part of the global movement to recognise lifelong learning.

Our graduation is more than a certificate — it is a testament to our resilience, commitment to lifelong learning, and desire to serve our community better. We chose growth when it was easier to give up.

Ladies and gentlemen, we are proud of ourselves.

We therefore commit to continue using the knowledge and values gained to uplift our community, strengthen our organisation, and create sustainable change in Maluti-A-Phofung.

We believe this journey does not end here; it is the beginning of greater things to come. We will keep learning, leading, and serving humanity, which is the very reason for our existence.

We deeply admire GULL’s philosophy of action learning and lifelong learning. We are inspired by the words of Professor Richard Teare when he said that the GULL system is based on the human spirit. This holds true in the African context, where the principle of Ubuntu is at the core of our lives.

And today, we echo the words of President Mandela: “Free at last, free at last.” For education has given us freedom — freedom to dream, to lead, and to serve.

22/09/2026:Successful Cybersecurity and Online Safety Awareness Session Held for Grade 12 Learners at Mathabo Secondary School

Agape Foundation for Community Development, in partnership with the Government Communication and Information System (GCIS), Thabo Mofutsanyana District Municipality, the South African Police Service (SAPS), and the Department of Basic Education, successfully hosted a Public Education Session on Cybersecurity and Online Safety for Grade 12 learners.

PURPOSE OF THE SESSION
The session aimed to equip learners with essential knowledge and skills to navigate the digital space safely and responsibly as they prepare to transition to Institutions of Higher Learning.

KEY FOCUS AREAS COVERED:
1. Understanding cybercrimes: Cyberbullying, phishing, identity theft, online scams, sextortion, and misinformation.
2. Legal Framework: Education on the Cybercrimes Act 19 of 2020 and the legal consequences of irresponsible online behaviour.
3. Prevention and Reporting: SAPS provided guidance on how to identify, prevent, and report cybercrime incidents and cautioned learners against sharing personal information and explicit content online.
4. Responsible Digital Citizenship: Basic Education emphasized the long-term impact of online conduct on academic and career opportunities.
5. Online Safety Measures: Agape Foundation shared practical online safety tips including password safety, use of privacy settings, verifying information before sharing, and safe social media use.
6. Career Guidance: Thabo Mofutsanyana District Municipality presented bursary and funding opportunities for post-matric studies.

Agape Foundation for Community Development reaffirms its commitment to strengthening child protection, promoting safe schools, and providing early intervention and psycho-social support services to vulnerable children and youth.

We extend our sincere gratitude to all stakeholders and learners for their meaningful participation and collaboration.

Agape Foundation For Community Development,in partnership with GCIS, extends sincere appreciation to all participants, community leaders, stakeholders, and volunteers who joined the Peaceful Walk Against Gender-Based Violence and Femicide held on Friday, 07 August 2026.

We stand together under the call to SILENCE GBV. UPLIFT WOMEN. BUILD SAFE COMMUNITIES.
The program concluded with a prayer session and candlelight vigil in remembrance of victims of Gender-Based Violence and Femicide.

Your presence reaffirms that as a community, we choose awareness, compassion, action, and change.
We remain committed to supporting survivors, strengthening prevention efforts, and promoting dignity and safety for all women and children.

Young People Attend Democracy Education Session 🇿🇦

Young people from the community came together today, 27 July 2026, for a Democracy Education Session held at the Agape Foundation Premises, Church Building next to Mohaladitwe and Makoane Schools.

The session focused on:
- Understanding democratic principles
- The role of Parliament
- The importance of active citizen participation

Facilitated by Pulane Mahlasela, Public Education Practitioner, the session also featured:
- Mr Moloi from Thabo Mofutsanyana District IEC, who spoke on voter education, the electoral process, and youth participation in democracy.
- Mr Piet Ntema, Community Development Worker (CDW), who thanked stakeholders and youth for attending and encouraged them to make use of Civil Society Organizations to improve their lives.
- Mr Moloi, Leader of the Agape Foundation, who urged young people to take part in similar initiatives, grow, and apply for job opportunities in Parliament and the IEC.

The session formed part of ongoing efforts to empower young people with knowledge and tools to engage meaningfully in governance and community development.

🌿 EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING CAMP 2026 | GROWING • LEARNING • LEADING

Our 4-day Experiential Learning Camp(5-8 July 2026) successfully empowered young people with essential life skills through hands-on learning and personal development.

A key focus was Emotional Intelligence (EQ). Learners were equipped to:
✓ Understand and manage their emotions
✓ Build healthy relationships
✓ Communicate effectively
✓ Make responsible decisions

Combined with sessions on Mental Health, Leadership, Crime Prevention, Substance Abuse, and Teamwork, the camp inspired learners to become resilient, confident, and responsible leaders in their schools and communities.

Together, we are shaping emotionally intelligent leaders for a better tomorrow.
