Today, we celebrate more than just your birthday. We celebrate a man whose vision, sacrifice and love for his community helped plant a seed 42 years ago that continues to grow today.
Together with your family, you had an idea to create something that could bring people together, give young people a place to belong, build friendships, create opportunities and uplift the community through sport. That idea became Foresthaven Sporting Club !
What may have started as a simple dream in the hearts of a few people has become a legacy carried by generations of players, families, coaches, supporters and friends. The jerseys may have changed, the faces may have changed, and the game may have evolved, but the spirit of the club and the values behind it continue to live on.
Uncle Ronnie, your contribution to Foresthaven even when you lived in JHB is something that cannot be measured simply by trophies, matches, seasons or divisions. Your greatest achievement is the people and lives touched along the way.
Today, we thank you for having the courage to dream, the heart to serve and the belief to start something that has stood the test of time.
May your birthday be filled with happiness, love, good health, family and the knowledge that what you helped build 42 years ago still matters deeply today.
