A DROP OF HOPE FOR KHOMANANI💧

Khomanani Disabled Project has been going through a very difficult time. After our recent break-in, our electricity cables were stolen, leaving our borehole without power, and without the borehole, we have no water. 💔

Since then, we have been using wheelbarrows to fetch water just so that our beneficiaries and staff can get through the day. It is heartbreaking to see a special school having to survive without something as basic and essential as water.

We have approached the municipality several times asking for assistance, but sadly, we are still without a reliable water supply.

But on Friday, a beautiful act of kindness touched our hearts. ❤️

The people who have always supported Khomanani by providing food went beyond what they normally do. They bought us a "full water tank" to be delivered to Khomanani. 💧🙏

Sometimes help comes at the moment when you feel you cannot carry on anymore.

Thank you for seeing our need. Thank you for caring. Thank you for stepping in when Khomanani needed it most. Your kindness has brought relief, hope and dignity to our beneficiaries and staff.

We may be facing many challenges, but moments like this remind us that "we are not alone."❤️

Khomanani is still standing.
Khomanani is still serving.
Khomanani is still fighting.
And we will keep going. ❤️

A heartbreaking goodbye to our beautiful garden…

On Thursday, Khomanani Disabled Project was broken into, and our electricity cable was stolen. That cable was not just a cable to us, it was what allowed us to pump water from our borehole. 💔

Today, we are looking at our beautiful garden knowing that, without water, it may soon dry out.

We planted these vegetables with love, hope and hard work. We watched them grow, believing that one day this garden would help bring food, dignity and a little income to our beneficiaries.

Now we can only watch and wonder how long they will survive without water.

We pray this is not the end of your story.

Khomanani is more than a building. It is a place of hope for people living with disabilities. What was stolen may have been a cable, but the impact has taken away something much bigger.

Khomanani Highlights | Part 3

Some visitors leave behind more than memories, they leave behind moments that stay in our hearts.

Khomanani Disabled Project was truly honoured to welcome two wonderful visitors from the Netherlands, who spent time with us and helped create beautiful and meaningful moments for our beneficiaries.

Their presence brought smiles, laughter, connection and a special kind of joy to the centre. What made their visit so meaningful was not only what they did, but the genuine time they took to connect with our beneficiaries and make them feel valued and included.

We are deeply grateful for the kindness, warmth and beautiful memories they shared with Khomanani. These are the moments that remind us of the power of human connection, that distance may separate us, but compassion brings us together. ❤️

June highlights: Mandela Day at Khomanani Disabled Project was a beautiful reminder that change begins when people come together.

We would like to thank Limpopo Community Education and Training College for making this day possible. We were also honoured to be joined by Social Development, Ba-Phalaborwa municipality Higher Health.

Planting seeds together was one of the highlights of the day, symbolising growth, hope, and a better future for our community.

Thank you to everyone who spent their 67 minutes serving others. ❤️

Khomanani Disabled Project was honoured to welcome representatives from Social Development, who spent the day working alongside our beneficiaries and staff in the garden. Together, we planted seeds that symbolize hope, growth, and a brighter future.

Our garden is more than just a place where we grow food. It is a space that teaches responsibility, encourages teamwork, promotes self-sustainability, and reminds us that every seed planted today can become a source of nourishment tomorrow.

Fun, Games & Healthy Smiles at Khomanani!

Today was filled with laughter, energy, and beautiful moments at Khomanani Disabled Projects! 🎉

Our beneficiaries had so much fun playing games that were not only exciting, but also helped with stretching their bodies, improving movement, and promoting a healthy lifestyle 💪🏽🤸🏽‍♀️

From running and stretching to sharing laughs together, it was a reminder that healing, growth, and joy can all happen through play ❤️

Moments like these show the importance of creating safe and happy spaces where everyone feels included, active, and free to express themselves 🌈
