We are truly honoured to have been part of this meaningful initiative hosted by Mopani TVET College at Sir Val Duncan Campus in Namakgale, bringing people together to raise awareness about Gender-Based Violence and advocate for safer communities.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to Mopani TVET College for the invitation and for creating a platform where students, stakeholders and community members could stand together in the fight against GBV.

It was a privilege to participate in this important engagement, share in the conversations, connect with fellow changemakers and contribute to a cause that demands our collective attention and action. We thoroughly enjoyed the session and were encouraged by the spirit of solidarity, awareness and commitment demonstrated throughout the programme.

We are proud to have been represented by our directors and co-founders, Tumelo Mojapelo, Lethabo Chiloane and Khesani Sambo, who were present in support of this important cause. We also celebrate Lethabo Chiloane’s performance, which contributed to the programme and reminded us of the power of creativity and talent in bringing people together around meaningful social issues.

The awareness session and subsequent march to Namakgale Police Station, where a memorandum was handed over to SAPS, demonstrated that addressing GBV requires more than words. It calls for cooperation, accountability, community involvement and sustained action.

At GOLDEN MINDS SA, our philosophy, Excellence Within, reminds us that every person has value, dignity and potential. We cannot build a society where people truly thrive while violence, abuse and fear continue to undermine lives and communities.

We believe that through education, youth development, creative expression and community engagement, we can help nurture a generation that values respect, equality, compassion and accountability.

Golden Minds SA CELEBRATES ATALIA THE POET

Congratulations to our very own Atalia the Poet on achieving an outstanding 2nd Place at the Indoni Cultural School programme in Giyani! 🥈🎭🎤

Golden Minds SA is incredibly proud of Atalia for representing herself, her art and her cultural heritage with such excellence and confidence. Her achievement reflects not only her talent as a poet, but also the importance of platforms that encourage young people to embrace their heritage, identity, traditions and cultural pride.

The Indoni My Heritage, My Pride programme has long created opportunities for young people to engage with African culture, heritage, arts and values.

For us at Golden Minds SA, Atalia's achievement is particularly meaningful. She has been part of our journey since the early days of the organisation and remains one of the young artists whose growth, creativity and commitment continue to demonstrate why we believe in creating spaces where young people can discover themselves, develop their talents and pursue excellence in the arts.

Atalia, your 2nd-place achievement is a reflection of your dedication, your voice and your willingness to honour where you come from while growing into the artist you are becoming.
We celebrate you not only for the position you achieved, but for the journey, courage, discipline and cultural pride that brought you there.
