EDUCATING THE NEXT GENERATION

A few months ago, we had the pleasure of welcoming the wonderful 5-year-old learners from Meridian College Phalaborwa to the Phalaborwa SPCA!

It was wonderful to see their excitement as they learned more about the animals in our care and the important work we do to protect and care for animals in our community.

At the Phalaborwa SPCA, we believe that education plays an important role in creating a kinder future. By teaching children from a young age to be compassionate, respectful and responsible towards animals, we are helping to shape the future animal lovers and advocates of our country.

A big thank you to Meridian College Phalaborwa for bringing these young learners to visit us and for helping us teach them the importance of kindness towards animals.

Today's little learners are tomorrow's animal advocates. 🐾

🐾 EXCITING NEWS FROM PHALABORWA SPCA! 🐾

Our new PayPoint donation terminals have arrived, and they are ready to help us make a difference in the lives of animals in our community!

A very special thank you to Villa Luso and Sefapani Lodge for welcoming two of our PayPoint terminals and helping us make it easier for visitors and members of the community to support the Phalaborwa SPCA. Your support means so much to us!

We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to the PayPoint team for the beautiful new terminals and for supporting our cause. 🐾❤️

Keep an eye out for our other PayPoint terminals popping up at various locations throughout Phalaborwa!

Every donation, no matter how big or small, helps us provide food, veterinary care, shelter and a second chance to animals in need.

If you spot one of our PayPoint terminals, please consider making a donation.

Your contribution can make a BIG difference.

Together, we can give them a better tomorrow.

CLEAR OUT YOUR CLOSET & SUPPORT PHALABORWA SPCA!

Have you been wondering what to do with those pre-loved items sitting in your cupboards and closets, taking up unnecessary space?

Well… we have a plan for them!

Instead of throwing away things you no longer use, donate them to Phalaborwa SPCA! Your unwanted items could help us raise much-needed funds for the animals in our care.

👚 Clothes
👟 Shoes
👜 Bags
🧸 Toys
🏠 Household items
📚 Books
🍽️ Kitchenware
✨ And other clean, good-quality pre-loved items

We are planning something BIG with all your donations!

So, have a look through those cupboards, wardrobes, garages and storage spaces. If you haven't used it in a while and it's still in good condition, don't throw it away — give it a second life and help an animal in need.

📍 Drop your donations off at Phalaborwa SPCA.

Your clutter could become care, food, shelter and hope for an animal waiting for a second chance.

Clear out. Donate. Make a difference.

PLEASE DON’T HURT OR KILL SNAKES

Snakes are an important part of our ecosystem and play a vital role in keeping nature in balance. Although finding a snake in your home or yard can be frightening, please do not hurt or kill it.

Recently, Phalaborwa SPCA was called to assist with an African Rock Python that had found its way into a residential area. Our team safely rescued the snake and, with the assistance of LEDET, released it far away from homes and people, where it can continue to live safely in its natural environment.

We understand that snakes can be scary, but they are an important part of our ecosystem. They help control prey populations and contribute to a healthy natural environment.

If you find a snake in your house or yard:

🚫 Do not try to kill it.
🚫 Do not attempt to handle it yourself.
🐍 Keep a safe distance and give the snake space.
📞 Contact Phalaborwa SPCA for assistance.

Let’s teach our community that not every snake is a threat, and every animal has a role to play in nature.

Thank you to everyone who chooses compassion over fear. Together, we can protect our wildlife.
