Supporting DOH at Mt Ayliff, Zinkawini Village

Today we joined the Department of Health at Mt Ayliff, Zinkawini Village for community outreach. It was a powerful day of service, education, and connection.

Our team worked alongside DOH staff to bring essential health services closer to the people who need them most. From health education to client support, every conversation and interaction mattered.

A big thank you to the DOH team for the collaboration, and to the Zinkawini community for welcoming us with open arms. We’re proud to be part of work that puts health and dignity first, right here at home.

Together, we’re building healthier communities — one village at a time.

We had a successful event at the Power location today!

Our social worker led an informative talk on PrEP, covering how it works and why it matters for prevention. Meanwhile, our nurse was on site providing direct health services to clients.

A big thank you to our HTS counselor and Peer Educator as well — they were on the ground throughout the day, supporting clients, answering questions, and making sure everything ran smoothly.

And thank you to everyone who showed up and took part. Your presence and engagement made the day meaningful, and we’re grateful for your commitment to your health and the community.

It was great teamwork all around, and we’re proud of the support we were able to provide today.

11 May 2026, our team hosted a Family Day outreach in Ncerha Village, Raymond Mhlaba Local Municipality. It was a day centered on health, connection, and respect for every member of our community.

We engaged with 14 women in s*x work, providing health education, wellness checks, and psychosocial support in a safe, non-judgmental space. As part of the service, we also initiated some of the women on PrEP to support HIV prevention and empower them to take control of their health.

We also distributed 15 baby packs to young mothers in the community, giving newborns a stronger, healthier start.

This day reminded us that wellness means nothing if it’s not accessible to all. When we lead with dignity and care, we create spaces where people feel seen, safe, and supported.

Gratitude to our partners, volunteers, and the Ncerha community for walking this journey with us.

Debriefing: Safety & Protection Workshop
- S*x Workers, Mnquma

We successfully facilitated a Safety & Protection session for s*x workers in Mnquma this week. Our social worker and paralegal team ensured the programme was delivered with care and confidentiality.

The workshop focused on three key areas:
1. Identifying risk in daily environments and interactions
2. Setting personal boundaries as a core safety strategy
3. Developing a Personal Safety Plan with practical steps and support contacts
Participants engaged meaningfully and left with tools to strengthen their personal safety.

We remain committed to providing inclusive, rights-based services that promote dignity and protection for all.
