We Are Hiring!

Ronald McDonald House Charities South Africa (RMHC SA) is seeking temporary / Casual employees to assist as and when our staff members are on leave. This is an excellent opportunity for unemployed young people who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of families in need and whose children are ill.

Job Details:
• Duration: Temporary/ Casual positions.
• Hours: A maximum of 96 hours per month and 24 hours per week
• Shifts: Day and night shifts. May be required to work holidays and weekends.

Area Responsibilities:
Temporary employees will assist in various areas, including:
✅ Reception duties (day & night) – welcoming guests, handling inquiries, and ensuring smooth front desk operations.
✅ Housekeeping & cleaning – maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in all areas.
✅ Meal service & preparation – assisting in serving and/or cooking meals for families.

Requirements:
✔️ Matric (Grade 12) qualification is essential.
✔️ Must be professional, respectful, and empathetic towards families and staff.
✔️ Previous experience in hospitality, cleaning, or reception will be an advantage.
✔️Available to work evenings, weekends, & Holidays
✔️Fluency in English and 2 local languages.
✔️Good Communicator
✔️Friendly hard worker with a good (positive) attitude and outlook.

Here at Ronald McDonald House Charities South Africa, since opening in 2012, we’ve been committed to providing a warm, supportive environment for families accessing specialised care for their seriously ill children. 🏥💖 Our house at Nelson Mandela Children’s Hospital offers much more than accommodation – we provide hope, care and a home away from home. 🏠✨

As we celebrate this milestone, we thank our dedicated team, volunteers, and generous supporters for helping us remove barriers and promote healing.
