More Community Foundation is a non-profit organisation dedicated to sustainable development in Huntington and Justicia B communities surrounding Lion Sands Game Reserve. We follow the Asset-Based Community Development model, working with communities as collaborators, not passive recipients. Every initiative is co-created with local leadership and built toward self-sufficiency. Our work focuses on early childhood education through our two preschools - Henna Preschool and Jabez Preschool - alongside improving living standards through access to clean water, healthcare, and sanitation. All projects are community-driven and sustainable, ensuring that by supporting communities to contribute their own efforts and skills, initiatives thrive long into the future.

Our team rolled up their sleeves at Henna Pre-Primary this Mandela Day.

From applying a fresh coat of paint and cleaning the yard to adding barbed wire to the fence, every task helped create a cleaner and safer space for the children and teachers.

While Mandela Day gives us an opportunity to come together, the work does not end there. We remain committed to continually improving and supporting the communities around us, one project at a time.

The smallest changes can make a big difference to the way children experience their learning environment 📚

Recently, Jabez Preschool received a fresh coat of paint and new floor tiling, creating brighter, safer and more welcoming spaces for the children who spend their days there.

Renovations are steadily progressing, with visible changes taking shape on site. Alongside the ongoing upgrades, pest control has now been completed at both Henna and Jabez, ensuring safer, healthier spaces for the children and staff.

Progress in action at Henna Crèche.
Renovations are officially underway, with local partners rolling up their sleeves to create a safer, more welcoming learning space for the children. From removing old flooring and ceilings to preparing for fresh paint and new kitchen units, this project is also creating meaningful temporary jobs and supporting local businesses along the way.
We’re proud to see community collaboration bringing positive change where it matters most.

Early Childhood Development (ECD) is a game changer—not just for parents and teachers, but for anyone who engages with a child! 💡✨

Every moment with a young mind is an opportunity to shape their future. Investing in ECD is both a privilege and a responsibility, and it’s up to us to keep learning and growing. Together with local communities, we create safe spaces where children can thrive.

Transformation Tuesday: Bringing Water, Changing Lives! 💧

🌍 Improving Living Standards in Limpopo 🌍
The Sentrum community in Limpopo has reached out to us for support in improving their access to water. We’re excited to announce that MCF is stepping in to assist and establish a new partnership to support their development efforts. Stay tuned for updates!
💧 Community Borehole Installations
Three boreholes have been successfully drilled in the Woodlands villages, bringing clean water closer to home and significantly reducing the risks and hardships of fetching water from distant dams. This vital resource is now within reach for all community members!
🚰 Water in Huntington and Justicia B Villages
In Huntington village, MCF has installed boreholes strategically placed and now managed by the Community Development Forum, ensuring a sustainable water management plan. Henna Preschool, which previously lacked access to fresh water, now serves 132 learners with a constant supply. Over in Justicia B, we’ve extended our efforts with a drip irrigation system for the community garden, enhancing local agriculture and food security.
Together, we’re making a lasting impact on these communities! 🌱
