We had such a wonderful time hosting the talented Elsa Winkler for the launch of her latest book, "'n Ierse Knoop", on 19 August!

A huge thank you to everyone from our community who joined us to make the event so special. We loved seeing the library filled with passionate readers, great conversations, and true book magic.

Drakenstein Library visited Nederburg Primary School to educate the Grade 2 learners about the importance of reading and using the library. Three Grade 2 classes were attended to individually. The learners then enjoyed a storytelling session, had an opportunity to read, and received chips at the end of the session.

Wellington library donated winter jerseys, socks and blankets to the children at Koplande farm school. Some of these items were generously donated by long time patron Mrs. Van Zyl while staff crocheted some of the blankets.

We hope these items will keep the children warm this winter 🫶🏾
