Botswana’s decision to completely legalize h*mos*xuality is being hailed as a powerful milestone for human rights across Africa. This breakthrough comes after a long legal str*ggle that took on colonial-era laws which cr*minalized same s*x relationships, ultimately affirming that s*xual orientation is deeply tied to privacy, dignity, and the freedom to live authentically.

With this ruling, Botswana joins a growing wave of African nations turning away from outdated laws that once targeted LGBTQ+ communities. For activists throughout the continent, it stands as a symbol of hope, real progress, and a bold legal step forward in the fight for equality.

What is LA-PrEP?

A Long-Acting Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis which offers a groundbreaking method for HIV prevention. Unlike daily oral PrEP, which requires taking antiretroviral tablets daily,

LA-PrEP provides sustained protection through a long-acting 6-monthly injection administered at healthcare facilities by trained professionals.

How does LA-PreP Work?

Also known as Lenacapavir (LEN)

LA-PrEP medicines build up in cells that HIV infects, forming a shield against the virus. Since these medicines remain in the body at protective levels for weeks or months, individuals don't have to take a pill daily or receive injections frequently.

Available soon @ selected Public Healthcare facilities.

🍕❤️ DOUGHNATION DRIVE – CELEBRATING ZONWABELE LGBTQI ORGANIZATION ❤️🍕

Through the DoughNation Drive made possible by Debonairs Pizza, Keep Mbekweni Clean proudly celebrates Zonwabele - LGBTI Organisation , a community-based NGO serving the q***r community in the Winelands.

Founded by Sandisa Sibelekwana (Executive Director & Communications Manager), Zonwabele began as a safe support space where q***r individuals could meet, talk, and heal.

Over time, the organisation has grown into a lifeline for many — working with partners such as Triangle Project , Desmond Tutu Peace Foundation , and Gender Dynamics to connect people to vital services.

Their work includes:

✔️ Health support and referrals (ARVs, PrEP & STI care)

✔️ Shelter and counselling for survivors of hate crimes

✔️ Legal and justice support

✔️ Nutrition packs

✔️ Skills development programmes

Zonwabele is a reminder that everyone deserves safety, dignity, and love. Today, we honour their commitment to building a more inclusive and caring community.

🌼 Giving people their flowers while they’re still alive.
