The reigning U16 Netball champions are returning to defend their title at this year's Youth Day Sports Festival. The girls showed great talent and discipline last year. We can't wait to see how they have developed 🏐🏆

As reigning champions, we're poised to make history again at Isidingo's 3rd Annual Youth Day Sports Festival. Join us on the 13th, 14th, 15th and 16th of June as we take our title defense to the next level.

𝐈𝐀𝐑𝐂 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐂𝐚𝐩𝐞 𝐖𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐊𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐥𝐞𝐝𝐠𝐞 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐅𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐥

On 11 and 12 March our team had the opportunity to attend the Cape Winelands Knowledge Sharing Festival. They had opportunities to participate in various mini-workshops with other community development organisations. Furthermore, they had the opportunity to network for funding and collaborations.

Goods in Kind Donation| Building Futures Through Sport 🏏| Community in Action

Isidingo Art & Recreation Centre is proud to support grassroots sport by donating cricket equipment to a local cricket club in our community.

This gesture is part of our commitment to youth development, social cohesion, and creating access to opportunities through sport and recreation.

We extend our appreciation to the club and Ta-Shaun for the work they continue to do in developing young talent and promoting positive values through sport.

𝟐𝐧𝐝 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧'𝐬 𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐬 𝐅𝐢𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐚

This past weekend we hosted our intervention programme in the 2nd Annual Women’s Month Sports Fiesta which combined different sporting codes aimed at increasing female sports involvement. This was also an opportunity to create awareness around female health issues in collaboration with relevant bodies such as the Western Department of Health and CANSA to educate and mentor our female participants in their journey to womanhood.

Naomi Philander from CANSA delivered a health talk on all things cancer, and Sisi Wandi from the Western Cape Health Department addressed pap smears, helping create awareness amongst our beneficiaries.

All participants enjoyed their involvement in sporting activities learning a lot from each other. The weekend's activities included action-packed sporting and performing arts activities.

The Women's Sports Fiesta was a collaborative effort amongst different community capacity-building entities in the Cape Winelands and Surrounding areas.
