🌱 AGAPE GOES GREEN! 🌍💚
What an amazing week of learning, service and fun!
From 6–10 July 2026, AGAPE proudly partnered with the Old Apostolic Church (OAC) Newton during their School Holiday Programme for children aged 6–16 years.
Throughout the week, the children:
🗑️ Collected 10 bags of litter while cleaning the area around Newton Primary School and its surroundings.
🌿 Cleaned and beautified the OAC garden.
🎨 Painted colourful rocks to decorate the garden.
🐝 Learned about bee keeping and bee farming, and the important role bees play in protecting our environment and supporting food production.
🌱 Gained valuable gardening, environmental awareness and community stewardship skills.
The week wasn't only about learning—it was also filled with laughter and friendship through mini cricket, soccer, netball, card games, and other fun activities that encouraged teamwork and community spirit.
These young environmental champions reminded us that even small actions can make a big difference. By caring for our surroundings today, they are helping to build a cleaner, greener and more sustainable tomorrow.
A heartfelt thank you to the Old Apostolic Church of South Africa – Newton, the volunteers, presenters, and every child who participated with such enthusiasm. Together, we are growing not only gardens, but also responsible future leaders.
