And so another year to reflect on comes around. Yesterday, the Caring Friends had our yearly meeting to reflect on our achievements over the last year, discuss the path going forward and very excitingly announce this past year's therapy dog and handler of the year! 🤩 (Stay tuned for that exciting announcement.)

We are thankful for everything that we have received, only through the grace of God, and excited for what the rest of the year has in store. Thank you for the continued support of the community and our followers.

On behalf of Caring Friends Therapy Dogs, we extend our deepest condolences on the passing of Pierre de Villiers. Pierre was a devoted and compassionate handler who touched many lives through his work with Storm, Thore, and Zara. Despite his own challenges, his gentle spirit and deep love for Jesus shone through in everything he did.

He will be dearly missed—not only as a respected colleague in the dog training community, but especially as a treasured friend.

Our heartfelt sympathy goes out to La'Rauchelle and Floyd. May God’s peace surround you and bring comfort during this difficult time.

TIME CHANGE: 12H00 TO 14H00!

We are pleased to announce that THE Dulux dogs from the TV advert are visiting Oudtshoorn in February. Orion, the TV star, is well known to us - Petra du Toit helped integrate him into the family when he arrived in South Africa a few years ago. His predecessor Oscar took his Canine Good Citizen test with us in Vanderbijlpark. All 3 dogs are involved in therapy dog work with their mom Sue Green
On Sunday, Jade, Orion and Yola get to meet Kolya and Sahara privately 😍 and on Wednesday 18th February between 9h00 and 11h00, everyone can meet them at Swan's Hardware, where they are available for photos and plenty cuddles. Don't miss out on meeting these gorgeous dogs!!
