A Re-Agisaneng Community Services This has led to the community members organizing themselves and forming an organization that will try to curb the social ill in the community.

VISION

BUILDING A BETTER COMMUNITY THAT CAN BE SELF-RELIANT THAT THEY DO TO HAVE A BETTRE FUTURE

MISSION

IS TO PROVIDE OUR COMMUNITY WITH REACHABLE FAMILY SERVICES, WE ARE CONSTANTLY WORKING TO CREATE INNOVATIVE, SUPPORT TO FAMILIES, COUNSELLING AND FAMILY RE-UNION TO COMMMUNITY AT LARGE. Project background

The organization was initiated by a family member of a young girl who was killed in

the local sports ground of Letsopa location and her body was thrown in the church yard earlier 2012. The general morale of the family is falling apart and the decay is spreading at a very high volume. The family unit has broken down and the social ill has taken over. Good family values and morale is non-existent. We live in a location were the state of poverty, unemployment and inequality has taken over the well being of our people the number of children leaving school is very high due to the problems that they face at home. Some of the families are child headed families either because the mother and father have passed away or they are looking for work in the cities and the children are left alone. The members who formed this organization are volunteers from the community, who were unemployed, most of the volunteers come from different wards in Letsopa community i.e. Ward 11, 12, 13 and 15.The project is working under the supervision of the Department of Social Development under family preservations directorate or family care services. Organization’s main objectives:

1. To provide a programme on positive values and family preservation.

1.1 To strengthen families and promote the wellbeing of families by instilling moral values e.g. instilling positive values to families which are victims of domestic violence, substance abuse, crime and family disputes.

1.3 To assist families to manage crisis situations e.g. families which experience a crisis as the result of trauma, such as sudden death, victims of disaster, and su***de within family members.

1.4 To promote family re-union services e.g. to assist during the family re-union of the family members who have been separated from their families due to various reasons such as family conflicts, divorces, in**st, and disrespect. Organization’s secondary objectives will be:

Ø To identify unmet needs, gaps and to serve as a support system to families e.g. Empower dysfunctional families and provide emotional support and serve as a change agent when needs arise.

Ø To offer psychosocial and spiritual support to families.

Ø To strengthen vulnerable families and promote family preservation. There are number of organization in the community that will be our competitors. Due to the broad nature of services that we provide, we believe that amongst these competitors, there is none that offer the range of services that we offer.
