You can leave a building,
but still carry the weight of what happened there.
At Radical Ministries, we recognize that spiritual wounds are real.
Religious trauma is more than simply being hurt by people in church. It happens when faith becomes entangled with fear, control, manipulation, shame, or abuse. Over time, a person can begin to associate God with pain rather than freedom.
It may come through spiritual abuse, misuse of authority, legalism, fear-based teaching, rejection, or being silenced for asking honest questions.
You can change churches.
You can step away for a season.
You can wrestle with your faith.
You can search for answers.
And still find that your heart remembers the hurt.
Sometimes it appears as anxiety during worship, fear of disappointing God, guilt when setting healthy boundaries, distrust of spiritual leaders, or shame that seems impossible to silence.
At Radical Ministries, we believe that Jesus did not come to burden people with fear. He came to bring healing, freedom, truth, and restoration.
Your pain is not weakness.
Your questions are not rebellion.
Your story matters.
Healing does not happen by pretending the wounds never existed. Healing begins when we bring them into the light and allow God to restore what was broken.
If you are learning to trust again, learning to heal, or learning to lay down burdens you were never meant to carry, you are not alone.
There is hope.
There is healing.
There is freedom in Christ.
