9th / 16th Cape Town Scouts Scouts is one of the largest worldwide youth organisations, learning leadership and life skills through fun and adventure. We always welcome new members.

The Cape Town Scout Group meets on Thursdays at our Scout Hall in Homestead Park, Upper Orange street. Cubs, age 7 to 11, and Scouts age 11 to 18.

Halloween 😱🧁👻

This past thursday we had a Halloween themed evening in which we decorated the hall and iced cupcakes while completing some STAs. We also had a dress up competition that was won by Elands (who dressed up at the Louvre robbers) and Leopards overall won the evening.

It was a chaotic and spooky but very fun thursday.

Paint the Lion purple 🦁💜🗻

This past Thursday, we took part in paint the lion purple, a series of hikes that happened every thursday of October, this specific hike was lead by our Troop Scouter, Aaron.

The views were amazing and everyone had a lot fun spending their evening on the mountain!

Last weekend Michael attended the Springbok dinner, hosted for all the scouts that achieved Springbok from the past year.

It was an enjoyable evening of good food, speeches and celebration of achievement. Congratulations again to Michae!!

Gordon Shield 🏕️⚜️

Over the weekend 8 of our scouts took part in Gordon Shield, a camping competition with non-stop bases and activities to complete.

It was a tough competition but they persevered and got an opportunity to learn and grow as a team and can’t wait to improve next year!

Michael’s Springbok Ceremony 🏆🎉

This past Thursday was a very special evening as we got to celebrate Michael, his scouting journey and his achievement in getting Springbok.

A massive congratulations to Michael for achieving his Springbok award! Through determination, dedication and support from the troop he managed to achieve the top award in Scouting.

In doing so he has continued the legacy of Springbok scouts within his family as well as the troop. Everyone is extremely proud and excited to see where his adult scouting career will take him in the future.
