🌸 Family Potjie Day – Celebrating Women’s Day 🌸

On the 9th of August, Ncandu 86 Round Table hosted a wonderful Family Potjie Day in celebration of Women’s Day and all the incredible women who make a difference in our lives. ❤️

Close friends and family came together for a day filled with good company, laughter, and great food. Two delicious potjies were prepared, bringing everyone together around the fires.🥘🔥

A big thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day so special.

Here’s to celebrating, appreciating and honouring the amazing women in our lives — not just on Women’s Day, but every day! 🌷

On 18 July, the members of Ncandu 86 Round Table proudly commemorated Mandela Day by supporting the Newcastle Crisis Centre with care packages for women and children affected by abuse and violence.

We believe that even the smallest act of kindness can make a meaningful difference. It was an honour to give back to our community and to stand alongside those who provide hope, safety, and support to those who need it most.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed to making this initiative possible. Together, we continue to live out Madiba’s legacy of compassion, service, and making a positive impact.

On Saturday the 4th of July, Ncandu 86 Round Table hosted its annual bowls day.

The event was a huge success, bringing together bowlers, sponsors and supporters for a day of great competition, friendship and community spirit.

Ncandu 86 Round Table attended the annual potjie competition held at the winter festival in Newcastle for the 3rd consecutive year.
The day was filled with fellowship, cooking masterclasses and some interesting games. Ncandu 86 walked away with the best "Pot-Brood" prize.
As always we were glad to be part of the day and met up with fellow NPO’s who attended.
We look forward to the next one!
