Today we celebrate a very brave cancer hero who is also celebrating her 17th Birthday today, Happy Birthday Andrea 🎉

Her mom Geraldine shares why Andrea is her cancer hero:
“Andrea, an excellent academic student, was diagnosed with Rabdomyosarcoma, an aggressive cancer that resulted in her losing her sight. For the past few years she was in remission and accepted at a Special Education School that caters for learners with barriers to learning. Despite the many challenges she faced, Andrea overcame these and consistently produced exemplary results. Andrea is now in high school and last year she placed FIRST in the grade.”👏🏻

We are so proud of Andrea and her hard work at school. As Andrea progresses to higher grades she will require a learning device, called the Braillenote Touch Plus to assist her with her studies. Unfortunately, the device is very highly priced and costs R100 000. So far R35 000 has been raised but we still need R65 000 to make this dream a reality for Andrea.
