South African youth Alive health Awareness campaign centre (SAYAC) is outraged and deeply disturbed by the horrific r**e of a 7-year-old girl, Cwecwe, at Bergview College in the Eastern Cape.

We strongly condemn the heinous crime and the subsequent handling of the matter by the school, which allegedly expelled the victim and blocked the investigation.

As an organization committed to protecting the rights and dignity of all individuals, especially children, we demand justice for Cwecwe and her family.

We call upon the relevant authorities to:

1. Ensure the immediate arrest and prosecution of the perpetrator(s)
2. Conduct a thorough investigation into the school's handling of the matter
3. Provide support and protection to Cwecwe and her family

We stand in solidarity with Cwecwe and her family, and we will continue to advocate for justice and accountability.
