๐ŸŒ™๐Ÿค A Blessed Friday & The Day of 'ฤ€shลซrฤ' ๐Ÿ•Œ

Today is a truly special day, as Jumu'ah (Friday) coincides with the 10th of Muharram ('ฤ€shลซrฤ')โ€”two blessed occasions in one day.

For those who are fasting, today is an opportunity to combine the virtues of the Sunnah fast of 'ฤ€shลซrฤ' with the blessings of Jumu'ah.

The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said:

ยซ"Fasting the Day of 'ฤ€shลซrฤ', I hope from Allah, expiates the sins of the previous year."ยป

๐Ÿ“š Sahih Muslim 1162

He also said regarding Friday:

ยซ"The best day on which the sun has risen is Friday..."ยป

๐Ÿ“š Sahih Muslim 854

๐ŸŒฟ What Should We Do Today?

๐Ÿ’› Fast the Day of 'ฤ€shลซrฤ' (along with the 9th or 11th if possible).

๐Ÿ’› Attend Jumu'ah prayer early.

๐Ÿ’› Send abundant แนขalawฤt upon Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

๐Ÿ’› Recite Sลซrah al-Kahf.

๐Ÿ’› Increase duโ€˜ฤ, especially during the hour in which supplications are answered on Friday.

๐Ÿ’› Seek Allah's forgiveness and make sincere repentance.

๐Ÿ’› Give charity and perform righteous deeds.

---

๐ŸŒฟ A Blessed Opportunity

Today reminds us of Allah's mercy and countless blessings.

It is a day to thank Allah for saving Prophet Musa (AS) and the believers, to remember the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), and to draw closer to Allah through fasting, prayer, dhikr, and duโ€˜ฤ.

Do not let this blessed day pass without making the most of it.

May Allah accept our fasting, our Jumu'ah prayer, our duโ€˜ฤ, and all our righteous deeds. May He forgive our sins and keep us steadfast upon the Qur'an and the Sunnah. ฤ€mฤซn.

โ€œIndeed, the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you.โ€ (Qurโ€™an 49:13)

Islam came to a world divided by race, tribe, color, and social status and replaced these divisions with taqwa (God-consciousness). Allah created humanity from a single man and woman, teaching us that our differences are signs of His wisdom, not reasons for superiority.

Hazrat Bilal ibn Rabah (RA), an Abyssinian companion of the Prophet ๏ทบ, was once enslaved and persecuted for accepting Islam. Despite severe torture, his faith remained unshaken as he continued proclaiming: โ€œAhad, Ahadโ€ (โ€œOne, Oneโ€), affirming the Oneness of Allah.

The Messenger of Allah ๏ทบ later said to Bilal (RA):

โ€œI heard the sound of your footsteps ahead of me in Paradise.โ€
(Sahih al-Bukhari, Sahih Muslim)

This powerful narration reminds us that honor in Islam is not based on race, wealth, lineage, or worldly status but on faith and righteous deeds.

The Prophet ๏ทบ also declared in his Farewell Sermon:

โ€œAn Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab, nor a non-Arab over an Arab; neither a white person over a black person, nor a black person over a white person, except by piety.โ€
(Reported in Musnad Ahmad)

Before looking down on someone because of their race, ethnicity, language, or background, remember: Allah judges hearts and deeds, while humans often judge appearances.

May Allah remove arrogance from our hearts, unite the Ummah upon righteousness, and make us among the people of Jannah. Ameen.

๐ŸŒ™ The Day of 'Ashura ๐Ÿคโœจ

One of the most blessed days of the Islamic year is the 10th of Muharram, known as 'Ashura.

It is a day of gratitude, fasting, and remembering the great mercy of Allah.

On this day, Allah saved Prophet Musa (AS) and the Children of Israel from the oppression of Firโ€˜awn (Pharaoh) by parting the sea.

When Prophet Muhammad (SAW) arrived in Madinah, he found the Jews fasting on the Day of 'Ashura.

They said that it was the day on which Allah saved Musa (AS).

The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said:

โ™ฆ๏ธ "We have more right to Musa than they do."

He then fasted on the Day of 'Ashura and instructed the Muslims to fast it.

๐Ÿ“š Sahih al-Bukhari 2004
๐Ÿ“š Sahih Muslim 1130

The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) also said:

โ™ฆ๏ธ "Fasting the Day of 'Ashura, I hope from Allah, expiates the sins of the previous year."

๐Ÿ“š Sahih Muslim 1162

To distinguish the Muslim practice from that of the Jews, the Prophet (SAW) intended to fast the 9th of Muharram along with the 10th.

๐Ÿ“š Sahih Muslim 1134

---

๐ŸŒฟ Why Is the Day of 'Ashura Special?

๐Ÿ’› Allah saved Prophet Musa (AS) and the believers from Firโ€˜awn.
๐Ÿ’› Prophet Muhammad (SAW) fasted this day.
๐Ÿ’› He encouraged the Muslims to fast it.
๐Ÿ’› Fasting 'Ashura expiates the minor sins of the previous year, by the permission of Allah.
๐Ÿ’› It is one of the greatest days of Muharram.

---

๐ŸŒฟ What Should We Do on 'Ashura?

๐Ÿ’› Fast on the 9th and 10th of Muharram (best practice).
๐Ÿ’› If unable, fast on the 10th and 11th.
๐Ÿ’› Increase duโ€˜ฤ, dhikr, and Qur'an recitation.
๐Ÿ’› Thank Allah for His countless blessings.
๐Ÿ’› Give charity and perform righteous deeds.

---

๐ŸŒฟ What Should We Avoid?

โŒ Do not believe fabricated stories about 'Ashura.
โŒ Do not invent special acts of worship not taught by the Prophet (SAW).
โŒ Do not neglect the Sunnah of fasting.
โŒ Do not waste this blessed opportunity.

---

๐ŸŒฟ Lessons From 'Ashura

๐Ÿ’› Allah always grants victory to the believers.
๐Ÿ’› Trust in Allah during times of hardship.
๐Ÿ’› Patience leads to Allah's help.
๐Ÿ’› Gratitude is shown through worship and obedience.
๐Ÿ’› Following the Sunnah brings immense reward.

---

๐Ÿคฒ A Reminder

The Day of 'Ashura is a gift from Allah.

Do not let it pass without fasting, making duโ€˜ฤ, seeking forgiveness, and thanking Allah for His mercy.

๐ŸŒฟ Istighfar: The Key to Peace ๐ŸŒฟ

Sometimes we search everywhere for peace, happiness, and solutions, while the answer is already on our tongues:

ุฃุณุชุบูุฑ ุงู„ู„ู‡ ูˆุฃุชูˆุจ ุฅู„ูŠู‡ "I seek Allah's forgiveness and repent to Him."

Istighfar is not just for sinners; it is the habit of the Prophets and the righteous. It brings tranquility to the heart, blessings in life, relief from worries, and draws us closer to Allah.

When you feel lost, say Astaghfirullah. When you feel burdened, say Astaghfirullah. When you are grateful, say Astaghfirullah.

A heart connected to Istighfar is never deprived of Allah's mercy.

โœจ Make Istighfar a daily habit. โœจ Fill your tongue with the remembrance of Allah. โœจ Trust that every sincere repentance is heard by the Most Merciful.
Astaghfirullaha wa Atubu Ilayh ๐Ÿค

โš”๏ธ Battle of Badr: The First Major Victory of Islam ๐Ÿค๐Ÿ•Œ

The Battle of Badr was the first major battle fought by the Muslims and one of the most significant events in Islamic history.

It took place on the 17th of Ramadan in the 2nd year after the Hijrah, near the wells of Badr, southwest of Madinah.

On one side stood approximately 313 Muslims with limited weapons and resources.

On the other side stood around 1,000 warriors from Quraysh, fully equipped and determined to destroy the Muslim community.

Despite being greatly outnumbered, the Muslims placed their trust in Allah.

Before the battle, Prophet Muhammad (SAW) spent the night in prayer, making sincere duโ€˜ฤ and seeking Allah's help.

Allah answered the prayers of His Messenger (SAW) and granted victory to the believers.

Allah says:

โ™ฆ๏ธ โ€œAnd Allah had already given you victory at Badr while you were few in number. So fear Allah that you may be grateful.โ€

๐Ÿ“– Al-Qur'an 3:123

During the battle, Allah strengthened the believers and sent angels to support them.

The Muslims achieved a remarkable victory, demonstrating that success comes not from numbers or strength alone, but from faith, obedience, and reliance upon Allah.

The Battle of Badr became a turning point in Islamic history and strengthened the position of the Muslims in Arabia.

The Companions who participated in Badr were given a special status among the Muslims.

The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said regarding the people of Badr:

โ™ฆ๏ธ โ€œAllah looked at the people of Badr and said: Do whatever you wish, for I have forgiven you.โ€

๐Ÿ“š Sahih al-Bukhari 3007
๐Ÿ“š Sahih Muslim 2494

---

๐ŸŒฟ What Happened at Badr?

๐Ÿ’› The first major battle in Islam
๐Ÿ’› 313 Muslims faced a much larger army
๐Ÿ’› Prophet Muhammad (SAW) made sincere duโ€˜ฤ for victory
๐Ÿ’› Allah granted victory to the believers
๐Ÿ’› Angels were sent to support the Muslims

---

๐ŸŒฟ Lessons From the Battle of Badr

๐Ÿ’› Victory comes from Allah alone
๐Ÿ’› Trust in Allah during difficulties
๐Ÿ’› Faith is stronger than numbers
๐Ÿ’› Duโ€˜ฤ is a powerful weapon of the believer
๐Ÿ’› Obedience to Allah brings success

---

๐ŸŒฟ Virtues of the People of Badr

๐Ÿ’› They sacrificed for Islam in its early days
๐Ÿ’› They earned a special status among the Companions
๐Ÿ’› Allah praised and honored them
๐Ÿ’› Their faith and courage became an example for future generations

---

๐ŸŒฟ A Reminder For Us

๐Ÿ’› Put your trust in Allah in every situation
๐Ÿ’› Never underestimate the power of sincere duโ€˜ฤ
๐Ÿ’› Remain steadfast upon the truth
๐Ÿ’› Be grateful for Allah's blessings
๐Ÿ’› Remember that true victory comes from faith and obedience

โš”๏ธ The Battle of Badr was not merely a military victory.

It was a lesson that when believers place their trust in Allah, His help can come from where they never expect.
