*INTELLIGENCE DRIVEN OPERATION - HIJACKING SYNDICATE ARRESTED*

*FOUR (4) SUSPECTS ARRESTED*

REPORT:

INFORMATION WAS RECEIVED REGARDING SUSPECTS COMMITTING HIJACKINGS AROUND GAUTENG, NORTH WEST & OTHER SURROUNDING PROVINCES. THE SUSPECTS WERE UTILIZING A WHITE FORD RANGER BAKKIE TO COMMIT THE CRIMES.

ON THE 16/10/2026, THE SUSPECTS COMMITTED A HIJACKING OF A WHITE FORD RANGER WILDTRACK IN BRITS. THE DRIVER WAS TAKEN HOSTAGE & KEPT BY THE SUSPECTS AGAINST HIS WILL.

THE TEAM DEPLOYED IN SEARCH OF THE SUSPECTS MOTOR VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS SPOTTED ON THE N14 HIGHWAY DIRECTION TO DIEPSLOOT.

THE OPERATIONAL PLAN WAS EXECUTED AND THE SUSPECT'S VEHICLE WAS STOPPED. THREE (3) SUSPECTS WERE CONTAINED AND ARRESTED. DURING THE ARREST A VICTIM OF HIJACKING WAS RESCUED BY THE TEAM IN THE SUSPECT'S VEHICLE.

THE VICTIM'S HIJACKED VEHICLE WAS CHASED, STOPPED AND ONE(1) SUSPECT ARRESTED WITH THE ASSISTANCE OF *CARTRACK (FOUND VEHICLE RECOVERY)*

THE SUSPECTS WERE DETAINED ON MULTIPLE CHARGES AT THE DESIGNATED POLICE STATION.
THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN FOR SAFEGUARDING AND FURTHER INVESTIGATION.

FURTHER INVESTIGATION IS UNDERWAY IN LINKING THE SUSPECTS TO OTHER HIJACKINGS THAT OCCURED. THE SUSPECTS ARE KNOWN REPEAT OFFENDERS LINKED TO VIOLENT CRIMES INCLUDING CIT'S & ROBBERIES.

can't tell you how many children I have counselled that are referred to me for anxiety... and only after a few sessions does it come out that they have been exposed to p**n and bullied on social media... parents don't realized the dangers of a internet connection on a handheld device.

🚨 URGENT: SPCA VEHICLE HIJACKED, PLEASE SHARE 🚨

Earlier today our Isuzu Fleetside single cab, registration MZ 16 NN GP, was hijacked. We believe it is somewhere between Germiston and Soweto.

The vehicle has SPCA branding on both doors. This may have been removed, but the outline of the signage could still be visible on the paintwork.

Our driver, Junior, was on his way to the vet when a man approached the passenger window, pretending to ask about the SPCA. When Junior opened the window, the man unlocked the door, jumped in and held a fi***rm to his head. Junior was forced out, pushed into another vehicle and later dropped off in Soweto. He made his way to a police station, badly shaken. For several hours, our team had no way of reaching him.

Two dogs were in the back of the vehicle and were taken with it:

South Africa has withdrawn a directive to asylum processing offices to accept applications regardless of how people entered the country, after anti-migrant protests turned violent in Durban and Johannesburg's Soweto township. Police say 24 vehicles were torched and foreign-owned shops were looted. The protests centers on a court ruling that allows people seeking protection from persecution to apply for asylum even if they entered South Africa illegally or missed paperwork deadlines. It does not automatically give them refugee status or permission to remain in the country and each application must still be assessed. The Department of Home Affairs, which handles immigration, said implementing the directive overwhelmed asylum offices, put staff at risk and raised public safety concerns. The court ruling remains in force. The department said it will develop a new way to process applications while keeping its offices and surrounding communities safe. South Africa has seen a wave of violent protests in which migrants from other parts of Africa who are in the country both legally and illegally have been targeted.
