LaMuse Classic 2026. What a weekend!

Three days at Surfers Corner. Women and girls filling the lineup. Longboards, adaptive surfing, first heats, big wins, bigger cheers, old friends, new faces and a whole lot of Muizenberg magic.

This year felt really special.

From the women who’ve been with us since the early days, to the girls paddling out for their very first competition. Our adaptive surfers, moms and daughters, judges, lifeguards, coaches, volunteers, crew and everyone cheering from the beach. This is exactly why LaMuse exists.

A huge thank you to , our 2026 title partner, for believing in LaMuse and helping us make this year bigger than we imagined.

To and - thank you for the support!

To every partner and sponsor who backed us, contributed prizes, created beautiful things and helped us pull off the madness, THANK YOU. LaMuse doesn’t happen without you.

And to , , , , and .surf, thank you for helping make the lineup a place where more women and girls belong.

Most importantly, to every surfer who paddled out: you are AMAZING. Whether you made a final, surfed your first heat, tried a new division or simply had the best time doing it, thank you for being part of this.

Nine editions in, we’re incredibly proud of what this little idea has become.
166 surfers.
15 divisions.
One seriously special community.

Turn the sound up and relive LaMuse Classic 2026 with us.
Thank you for this epic edit and Sam Tome for capturing the moments that made the weekend what it was.

'Till Next Time ;)

Help EJ Sombexe compete on the world stage. Emihle has made the South African National Para Surfing Team scheduled to compete at the ISA World Para Surfing Championship in Palm Desert, California this November. Selection is fully self funded, with every athlete responsible for covering flights, accommodation, team apparel and travel costs. Every wave he rides is a step toward his Olympic dream. Your support gets him there. https://www.backabuddy.co.za/campaign/help-emihle-reach-world-para-surf-championships

Education creates access. Access creates opportunity.
The International Surfing Association Level 1 Instructor Course supportes participants and volunteers to build skills, confidence and pathways towards leadership in surfing and the wider blue economy.
Through Spark, Bridge and System Shift, we are creating inclusive opportunities that move beyond the beach and into meaningful futures. These programmes provide sustained participant progression and long-term engagement beyond surf therapy.
Thank you Laureus South Africa and the ISA for supporting this work.

Surf therapy changes what people believe is possible 🌈 When women and girls living with disabilities enter the ocean, they challenge assumptions held by others and sometimes by themselves. Participation can reshape worldviews and open new possibilities.

Surf therapy builds confidence.
Every wave ridden is a reminder that ability is not defined by limitation. Through supported ocean experiences, women and girls can discover courage, strength and belief in what is possible.
