Muizenberg Historical Conservation Society Muizenberg Historical is a non-profit society that looks after Het Posthuys, the Battle of Muizenberg site and Rhodes Cottage and keeps an eye on buildings

The Muizenberg Historical Conservation Society (MHCS for short) manages Rhodes Cottage (1900), the Battle of Muizenberg site (1795) and Het Posthuys (1670). We also act as guardians of the Muizenberg Built Environment, with regards to the heritage aspects. Our aims are to spread knowledge of our local history and to protect the physical aspects that we have. Roughly every two months we organize a

historical talk, usually but not always relevant to Muizenberg. Interested persons can contact us at 082 908 3456 for information, access to our assets and the arrange tours.
