Bike4All 𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗚𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻!

In partnership with 702, 947, Cape Town Cycle Tour, Eyewitness News, and Primedia Out Of Home, for the Primedia Cares campaign, 15 bicycles were handed over at Kwena Molapo Comprehensive Farm School in Lanseria. The school will be using the bicycles to start a cycling club, following substantial interest from the learners to join the programme.

The team then visited Cosmo City Secondary School in northern Johannesburg, where another 15 bikes were handed over to learners to be used as transport to and from school.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗯𝗲𝗿𝗴 𝗣𝗣𝗔 𝗥𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘂𝘁!

Our incredible riders showed up bright and early in the misty Boland morning, taking to the streets from 06:30 to take on the scenic Winelands routes.

A massive thank you to every cyclist, spectator, and supporter who joined us at Perdeberg Cellar and brought such fantastic energy to the day. From conquerors of the 95 km route to the families completing the 40 km, you all made this event unforgettable!

Shoutout to our amazing host venue, Perdeberg Cellar, and our hydration partner, Coca-Cola Peninsula Beverages, for keeping everyone refreshed at every water point and across the finish line. 🥤🍷

The road doesn't stop here; the iconic 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗯𝗼𝘀𝗰𝗵 𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗧𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿 is taking over the Winelands on 𝟭 𝗡𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲.

On Tuesday, 29 September, the cycling community suffered a devastating loss. 19-year-old Lilitha Lombo was killed in a hit-and-run collision while on a training ride with Khaltsha Cycles.

Although the driver has been arrested and released on R5000 bail, our fight for justice, road safety, and cyclist protection continues.

The Pedal Power Association Stay Wider of the Rider campaign invites cyclists, club members, friends, and supporters across the region to join us this 𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝟭𝟴 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿, as we lay down a Ghost Bike at the site and ride in Lilitha’s memory.

This ride is open to everyone, whether you are an elite rider, a casual cyclist, or a family member wishing to pay respects.

From Moses Mabhida Stadium to the Umhlanga turn-off, the M4 Highway transforms from a bustling motorway into a safe, car-free haven for cyclists of all ages and fitness levels.

An initiative created by Shaun Peschl from Peschlsports-Pro Development and proudly partnered with the Pedal Power Association since its 2025 launch, Cycle Sunday promotes wellness, active mobility, safe cycling and the breathtaking beauty of the eThekwini coastline. ☀️

What a week it’s been for the PPA team on the ! 🚲🙌

Day 4 had us rolling through the beautiful Winelands, and Day 5 brought us right back home to Cape Town, finishing off strong in Mitchell’s Plain.

Riding alongside the Western Cape Government and so many wonderful partners across the city has been an absolute privilege. More than anything, this week was a reminder of how much freedom and opportunity a bicycle can bring. Giving the gift of mobility is something many of us take for granted, but sharing that passion with the youth in these communities was truly the heart of the journey.

A huge thank you to every rider, supporter, and community member who welcomed us with open arms and made this tour so special. We couldn’t have done it without you!
